No guilt, regret, or doubts would mean a life never lived. But when the pictured past is bleak. Memories tarnished in an not-so enviable green-copper crud. It's time to forget what we can't change, shred the ugly, misfit canvas into slivers we can mold into a masterpiece that makes us smile every breath of day.

    Hi Ric,
Your thoughts and perceptions on this are indeed real and rational
reality, and so vividly expressed indeed! Your last sentence most
inspiringly encompassing, and sincerely appreciated. As is the
6 star, thanks again for sharing.
    Best wishes, Ronni

Oh, but you have been a busy bee painting so many beautiful visions with your pen, Lady Ronni! Hard sometimes, but we reach for those 'lingering memories of love' and try to smile through the current pain... :) Thanx so much for your words, here, and the comfort that can be found in them - let not the 'alone' linger, yeah? ;) :) Yvette

I nourish myself with my end of day reflections, content in the knowledge that I lived my day well. I also find that writing is so fullfilling and my husband's good night kiss, so satisfying. Simple reassurances mean so much. I love this, as I do all your poetry. Beautifully written and aptly illustrated, dear Ronni.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal Xos.............

Hi Ronni, sorry I have not been by yourside as it has been a busy few days and now today I have found time to catch up.
A very deep and powerful reflection of days and missed moments in time that are not appreciated or seen by others, I guess most days are good and the lesser days are bad,but everybody has their own balance. For me it is take one day at a time and enjoy. When something stops you from doing that then fight back and never get sad. Anyway a lovely piece of writing. Kind regards Colin X

Thanks too, for the extra star award, sincerely appreciated!

Deep, I had to read it more than once, each time it was better because I understood more. The wording is intense, which is a sign of a true poet. The picture compliments your words, together you have a great combination.

A very well-written heartfelt poem and reminder it is not over until the last minute arrived. For as long as we are still around to breathe and experience the shining sun we will still have hope.

"if we learn to reflect at the end of each day," I take time to end my days in thought. "Immeasurable's" title definitely painted a very good picture for the expectation of what's to come. "brighter star that hovers near" gives me reason of hope, no matter the past. I guess sometimes we must ride out the storms in order to enjoy the colors of the rainbow. Best regards.

    Hi Kermit,
You have very perceptively captured the meaning and method
by which we can move on and beyond most of our struggles,
and seems you too are already doing that too, which is great
and glad for you. Yes, beyond the storms of grey or bad days,
there is always that timely rainbow to enjoy and breathe new again.
Thanks for sharing these affirming thoughts, sincerely appreciated.
Wish you many wondrous rainbows always.
    Best wishes, Ronni

The structure, akin to stream of consciousness/enjambment suits the theme superbly here as the poet reflects on life and its many phases and stages and how we should move along leaving the past behind while discovering new phases of our being

    HI Zanya,
Thank you for your perfect perceptions and thoughtful comments on this poem, sincerely appreciated. Sometimes we are not aware
of how bogged down with past, once we are, moving on is the
best relief and consolation, and up to us to achieve.
Thanks again for sharing your kind thoughts. Have a great day!
    Best wishes, Ronni

Hello stranger. LOL I have missed you and your writing. I absolutely love this poem. As usual your heart is in it. I can not only hear it, but feel it as well. Lines like this tear at my heart:

"When days are filled with sunshine bright and warm
gladly hold them close and ever dear, like a child
hugs their favorite teddy bear with joyful glee....."

Wow! Good for you, my dear friend. I cannot seem to find enough time to review and work on my fifth novel at the same time. I have seven chapters posted of the new book, but it will still take me until this time next year to complete it.

(sigh) Bless you, Ronni. XX :) Bob

    Hello dear Bob,
Stranger? How can that be, LOL? You 'read' me so well dear friend,
as affirmed by your opening comments, and always sincerely
appreciated! No not 'strangers' just that we have not been able
to review each other's work as we were able to for some time.
You, have gone on to be a published author of several books
now and that certainly took priority time for you, and understood
and all the more proud and admiring of you achievement, dedication and success! I've had a busy college teaching schedule
that limited my time on here considerably for my writings too.
And we both still keep running out of time still...LOL. (sigh (:,:)
Congrats on your 5th Novel project....I know you will persevere!
I'm pleased you loved this poem, and that particular part noted.
Such a wonderful surprise whenever you are able to peek in
dear friend. Even if too long in between, all the more appreciated.
Take care dear friend, stay well and keep on keeping on in your
writing career! You are always missed too.
    Love, blessings always, Ronni
