Thank you for sharing this enlightening poem with us today. Too many times we do focus too much on our material things. I know that as I have gotten older and downsized my wants and needs that I really don't miss those " things". Yup... just things! I have so much more wealth in my life with my family and friends than I ever did before.
What a great poem. We should not concern ourselves with material possessions. I love the line about words and our actions that should count.
Especially in this time of our lives, we need to be kind to each other.
I can see you put a lot of heart into your poetry. 75 years is a long time to have been writing. I also prefer poetry that rhymes. Most of the free form I just do not understand. Your entry here has a nice flow to it and was easy to read. I enjoyed reading it.
An uplifting, positive poem in the midst of our current craziness. Refreshing to read, beautifully rhymed, well written. "When life is done and all is through, what better could one ever do?" An excellent question to ponder.
You're absolutely right, "naked I came from my mother's and naked I will return. The Lord gives and the Lord will take away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21. Beautifully written my Friend, and as great as ever. Well done, blessings, Roy
Typo : Death(')s eternal sky.
This rhyming poem is nicely written and reads well with a bouncy flair and has a great moral in that things are only as good as they are used in this life to get us to the beginning of eternal life. giovanni
