Tracy, I haven't been receiving the notifications of your postings even though I am a fan. I don't know why that it, and I only found out you wrote something new by bringing up your page. It actually happened before, and I even wrote Tom, but he doesn't know why.

British climate is harsh and is not for everyone. The fog, constant rains would make it very hard for me to live there. But I always dreamed of vising England, ever since my fifth grade when I started learning English.

Great descriptive imagery and visuals, a lovely artwork make it a delight to read. Thank you for sharing.

    Good afternoon Yelena

That is strange... Perhaps I'll have to notify you myself when I post something... I know it's against the site rules to ask for reviews, so please do not feel obliged if I do so, but under the circumstances, I feel that there is no other choice left open.

The rain here in the U.K is infamous! lol Mind you... without all this rain we wouldn t have the rolling green countryside :)

Thank you very much for your review and stars, Yelena.

    KInd regards

Haha - I always heard that you get a ton of rain in your neck of the woods. When I read the title, I thought maybe I had it wrong.

So, you like making things from old junk, eh? I love throwing old junk in the garbage, haha. I told you I was obsessive/compulsive. I don't even like virtual trash on my computer. I empty the bin regularly and it gives me great pleasure to hear the noise it make when it's cleaning it out, LOL. Hugs, Lou

I like this poem, "Britain's Varied Seasons." The rhymes are clever & humorous, as if it ALWAYS rains in that part of the world, so admit it, get used to it, & enjoy the inevitable rain.
You'll be overjoyed if it ever doesn't rain.
The illustration, by showing a richly colored brolly, sets a tone for how one can stylishly cope with rain.
My only suggestion for this humorous poem is to change the word order in line 3 so it reads: 'Autumn too is also wet
and come the winter, yup, you bet!' The reason? The previous line mention spring & summer so it's reasonable to expect that autumn comes next, then winter.

Hi Mystery Poet,
I have heard that Jolly Olde England gets a lot of rain. I think that's why Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall... it was wet & slippery! According to your poem, every season is filled to the brim. I bet the Queen has a hundred umbrellas.
I like you inner rhymes of each line,
"Isles/smiles"
"summer/bummer"
"wet/bet"
"here/year"
"before/pour"
My favorite line,
"Winter too is also wet and come the autumn, yup, you bet!"
Good Luck in the contest!
Cheers,
Kimbob

    Hey!

So there you are, Dear Kimbob.

How lovely to hear from you, my friend.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and stars.

I shouldn't complain really, for without all this rain we wouldn't have this green and pleasant land :)

    Much love

I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Writer. I love the internal rhymes. Your words flow smoothly line to line to describe the seasons in Britain. I like the image, too--very bright and cheerful even though it is raining torrents.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

A perfect picture for the complaints of your poem!

You have met the requirements of the Four Seasons writing prompt contest: Write a five line poem that somehow incorporates the topic, Seasons.

Best of luck in the Four Seasons writing prompt contest.

This is a fantastic entry for the contest. The picture is perfect and the rhyming is really good. The only little hiccup is the fourth verse with year rhyming to year. Despite that this is a lovely little poem that you penned here. Best of luck in the contest.
