The words of this poem are heartfelt, sad, clear and creative. I found
the author's description of memory vivid. The poem flows and connect well. This poem convey a love that is so hard to find.
Hope you had a great weekend!....Maria
A very heartfelt poem. Your words stir emotions in all
of us. Many relate to losing their own loved one, but all
can relate to a part of us to life's losses.
True love always burns in our memories. Thank you
There is deep emotion on display through the lines of this sonnet about a lost loved one. All of the lines offer perfect rhyme and a theme that many have experienced and are able to relate to on personal levels. Thank you for sharing!
The best always go first, Jaybird, and the criminals, and nasty people live a life of good health! It's not fair. I'm sorry you lost your wife so early, we all have our dreams and plans, and to be robbed of those before they've been completed, is so hard. I liked your poem, I'm sure she reads them all and smiles lovingly down on you. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xx
Line 4--maybe use "of" instead of "on."
Line 7--"depart" means to leave, and here it seems to suggest that the two would never leave where they are. Do you mean "be separated"? Consider using "I knew we'd never be apart" instead.
