This is an excellent poem with very good rhymes and meter
about the give and take of life. Our lives are full of choices,
each one determines the ultimate path.
I am sure that there will be lots of poets saying well done to you! You are a simple writer. The poems that you write are very easy to understand. I hope you will keep writing for many years yet on FS.
I love your 'simple' poem. It's easilty read. Rhyme and rhyrhym go very well together. I think we all would like to hear at the very end of life someone say "well done" My life like yours has been an open book as well. Some good parts and some not so good parts! Great job!
I absolutely love the flow and energy this poem exudes. Definitely a great summation of reflection upon a life well lived with the best intentions and hopes for lasting impressions. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed this read very much!
A sweet rhythm and rhyming poem about life's choices well made. I also think this reads like a thankful prayer for a life that has been enjoyed. I see you live on the other side of the Appalacian Moutain from me! Hello, neighbor :)
I think we are in the same thought of mind I for one want to get thoughts of death off my mind. You captured my attention from the first line to the last. I will tell you now my friend as long as I have known you , you have done your best and well done.
Fortunately it's not good or bad deeds that will save, there's no eternal weighing machine to measure, one bad deed is sufficient for damnation to happen. But if, on the other hand, for gracious acquittal, We have faith that Christ paid the ransom we will be saved. Ephesians 2-8-9 Well done my friend, Blessings Roy
I really love this poem as it made me feel really happy and smile. It flows so beautifully. Such a wonderful sentiment. I'm sure we all hope someone tells is we've done well in our lives. But what's most important is that we feel good about the paths we took. Not so much validation from others. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work!
This is so readable and believable, Jay. I'm pretty sure you are right about the good choices you've made outweighing the bad. It is so much fun to read your poetry and see your heart. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. MM
