Many of us readers will identify with the tone of the poem. We will stand by watching the cyclers whiz by us. I liked the bicycle seats we had when we were little. The seats these days hurt. We used to ride many miles up & down hills. That never would happen if we didn't have good seats. Well thought out.

Welcome back, dear Tina. I have really missed you.

I enjoyed your first offering for the challenge. I enjoy many sports, especially biking. I really miss wheels now that I am blind.

We have lost many writers temporarily, due to Covid and other pressing issues. I'm still here writing away as it is a nice diversion from my health issues. My blindness continues so I don't spend a day without my writing whether or not I post. I'm well into my second novella, and I should be finished by November. It's going well. I published What The Blind Girl Saw in February with Kindle Direct Publishing. I'm writing short stories and poetry, too. Enjoying it all.

Please don't leave. We need more fine poets and writers like you. Adds more sweetness to the pot.

Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the challenge,
Sal XOs........

    Sally,
I missed you too! I've had sooo many health things and all going on. It got me down in the dumps again...not depressed exactly, but I lacked motivation to do much. I've been praying that the Lord gives me back my energy. I don't have as hard a challenge as you with being blind, so I should not complain.
I will get your book! How exciting Sally! Congratulations!! That's very cool!
I started a devotional book on KDP, just did the cover and title so far. I'm choosing topics and devotions now. Again, I've felt the Lord calling me to be an encourager through devotions, but I've lacked energy and drive.
We are starting back to church in-person Sunday, so I think that will get me back to my old self:)
No worries on my health. Just my bad leg acting up. I have to really watch what I do because I tend to get blood clots. I mistakenly think I'm so limited, but I can write!
Thanks for your note! Hugs, sweet Sally!

I like the rhythm and feel to this. I feel the same about watching though I do get choked up knowing the effort, passion and grit it has taken them to get to this point. My 85 year old mom is a marathon runner.

Wait, what? Your grandmother is a runner now? I do admire those bikers so so much because I know what it takes. Thanks for reading!

The picture does fit the poem very well. To me the first stanza had great flow. The third stanza lines one and three did not have a rhyming flow. The last stanza had good flow and rhyming.

I will check the flow...thank you for your comments. I took a few words out because the spacing was weird when I saved it.
    Thanks again:)

I'm liking your biking poem. I like biking myself, but not to win races at speed. The rhythm and rhyme of your poem catches the cadence of cycling very well. I noticed the caption beneath the painting and it says it was mouthpainted - even more admirable that the artist rose to that challenge of doing such a skilful painting.

Thank you Lisa! It was fun to write about. The only bike I ride now is a stationary bike:)

I'm with you! We can give God glory for giving people the ability to paint so well and athletic build to do bicycle races. Nice job with the pix challenge poem!
