What great food and fun!! :) Love your use of the word 'brouhaha' for your acrostic -- an awesome presentation 'in a word'! ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! :)

Eyes on these gorgeous pumpkin pies. Like writers, bakers have an ego, but at least they can enjoy their offerings when all is said and done.

Great entry for the contest. I wish you all the best with this and hopefully some pie.
Sal :)

I enjoyed your Pie Contest poem. Broughaha is a perfect word to use in this situation. I have not heard it in years and it brought memories back of another time when my mother used it to describe and uproar.
Great mono rhyme.
well done
Blessings and good luck.

This is delightful and funny. I can definitely see a ruckus starting up in a competition. Especially when it comes to food. Now I'm craving pumpkin pie. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

A very well-written acrostic poem about the word brouhaha. An uproar taking place when the pumpkin pie baker wins the prize for the best pie in the baking competition.

I think this is a good entry for the 'Name' writing prompt.
This acrostic spells Brouhaha and describes it in a story.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.
Sharon

Very true about the word broughaha. At first I didn't realize the word then you put it in your notes and it hit me, I knew that! LOL I've heard people use the word loudly to make up a fightening laugh!
Good job!

-Good artwork and
presentation.
-A well written poem
with a good topic, imagery,
and rhyme.
-You describe this contest well,
and the commotion that went with it.
-I guess the "ordinary joes" had the
right idea; ignored the brouhaha,
and won the contest.
-Good luck!

I love a rhyming poem. And I love pie. Making pie is a big task, and it is eaten and gone before you know it. Your poem conjures the feeling of the competition, and humor. Four stars because the two lines ending in "uproar" and "roar" bothered my ear, for their sameness. I wonder what other word you might use to preserve the rhyme, but more interestingly. Good work!
