Yes, Jeffrey, this appeals to me. Soaring for the sky and flying high that would be me, if I had wings like an eagle. That where freedom would be. I loved this 10 word poem. Good Luck. Ulla:)))

Hi Jeff,
I've often thought, wouldn't it be great to be a bird? To be able to soar high above, away from the cares of this life, where there is silence and a terrific view? I think I'd like to be a bird... a blue jay. Or perhaps an eagle or hawk.
I've thought of the astronauts who've reached the moon. I bet they were sad to have to go back to that blue planet with all its trouble ... wars, pollution, prejudices, crime, disease... yeah, who can forget this miserable Covid-Schmovid?
In 3 lines, you've used 10 words and rhymed as well. And you've voiced a dream, to be done with trouble.
It reminds me of a song by Gordon Lightfoot, "Cobwebs and Dust"
https://youtu.be/ZZoaIY9dVY4
"Troubles goodbye, troubles goodbye,
We've been too long together,
My cobwebs and I."

Good Luck in the contest!
Cheers,
Kimbob

You really show the majesty of the eagle. As it soars, it rises above troubles. I think people sometimes envy that ability to rise above things. You get your rhyme in smoothly. I know what you mean. Don't we wish we could soar above all our problems. This is a great entry for the contest. judi

Beautiful ten word poem. I love the image and poem. I too wish I could be free like the eagle. You met all the requirements of the prompt and it also rhymed. Well penned. Thank you for sharing. Blessings. ~Brenda

A good description of this huge predator. He must be busy searching for the kill. Trouble for the other animals is right. Good pic to go with your poem. Thanks for sharing.

If only we could fly, but we are blessed with imagination and sure can fly; an uplifting succinct poem with a great message that can be learned by the magestic eagle. Good luck!

I love eagles, and appreciate how you've paid tribute to their majesty, beauty and freedom. How wonderful it would be to escape the worries of life and take to flight like the eagle. Your poem is a gem Jeffry. Good luck in the votes!

It amazes me how you can send a message with
meaning in such few words. You area natural at
writing poetry. I am not a writer, but an accountant.
Enjoyed your poem.
