Falling Leaves (Jade) by RGstar

One of the more powerful poems this reviewer has read here on Fanstory.com. The writer is absolutely an accomplished poet. The reviewer especially enjoyed the expressed and meticulous words used. In particular,

"To task she wakes as times before
A whispered "hush"his thoughts implore
Soft strands of hair from tousled mane
Reminds of love, of life again "

Those words, coupled with the photo used in the poem brings out the composition's meaning. Very strong. Outstanding!

This reviewer it tearing up as he reads this poem. Loved ones whom we lost seem to be with us, even though they're not. Rev. White seemed to be a loving soul and the words in the poem speaks glowingly of his accomplishments. May gods grace be shared with you and his spirit be eternal.

A Confession by BillyCraven

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

The author gives a auto-biographical account of having been caught in a collapsed cave with a friend. The account was described vividly and with a great deal of realism, taking account what the writer experienced. The writer challenges the reader to be in his shoes and experience the horror of being helpless. Then experience the loss of a good friend. What would have gave this an extra star would have been more dialogue between the two subjects. He should consider expanding this to short script form, a.k.a. "Into the Wild". The author may have something here. Great job!

Children Learn What They Live (3) by Phyllis Stewart
Chapter 7 of the book Out of My Mind

The writer has delivered an honest debate on the consequences of lying. The writer used an incident from her which someone was disappointed that Santa Claus was not real. I found the essay to be more designed for an op-ed piece for a newspaper. Lose the profanity and it could be very effective as a learning piece. Good job!

Friends 'til the end by cj lutton

Good
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

The writer has composed a simple, basic poem that gets to the point to the reader. We're not sure how long the two people are serving time in jail or the seriousness of the crime. It just says that no matter what happens, they'll always be there for each other. Not spectacular, but straight forward.

Thanksgiving by Ridley Williams

The writer has created an unusual, but creative poem about Thanksgiving. By utilizing the letters, he has created prose that gives his explanation to the meaning of Thanksgiving. The photo used is an abstract and works well to the creativity of the poem. Great job!

A battle of mud by DALLAS01

The writer has written a short, but interesting poem that challenges the reader to think about their determination in competition. Victory, according to this writer, clings to "the heels of ego". Meaning, the winner in any kind of competition will have pride in their accomplishment, while the loser will feel dejected, as if they were dirty. The photo of a rugby match is construed as the ultimate sport of grit and determination.

Great job!

It's a wrap. by DALLAS01

The writer has given the reader a challenge. The end of life and how to deal with the loss of a loved one. All families have to deal with this sensitive subject, including this reviewer. By using succinct words, it gives the reader a sense of 'how' to deal with it.

The use of the photo is a bit of a challenge. A poem like this could have maybe used something a bit more serene. However, it doesn't take away from the poem's effectiveness.

Bravo!

Why? by DALLAS01

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

What could mend a broken heart...or dream? Many people lost their lives to senseless violence. Many had no idea it was their last day on earth. Some knew it was. This poem has much to say about the recent events in Paris. The author reaches out to the reader and is asking for questions...questions to the people who cause violence for no apparent reason.

The addition of music to the poem give the reader a great sense of loss. It's powerful melody adds the poem's effectiveness. The writer is very talented and has had much experience writing solemn poetry. I was taken by it's message and hope the readers will also be moved.

Great job!

I know it's the final draft, but I found this.

"Maybe its just me`with
a heart for truth,"

Was the '`' necessary? Or did you put it there on purpose?

I'll still give you 5 stars, because your work has constantly been outstanding! Your words are eloquent and inspiring.

Great job, as always!
