A great reminder of how important it is to be kind and nice. You are correct in saying that holding on to anger and mean-spiritedness is hurting those who do it.
I didn't see any errors here. No edits needed. It's great.
All the best,

What a beautiful tribute to the vanishing industry. I loved the way you brought the clothing to life with the analogies you used.
Very nice. It certainly is abstract and has a light, airy feel, yet it is beautiful and a great tribute indeed.

So, this is brilliant. I love it. I cannot understand people's mentality and particularly loved these lines:

A bit of guidance from yours truly:
Don't use water and soap
Don't take medical advice
Don't stay home
Don't wear a mask
Don't social distance
Don't let them take your rights
Gather in big groups
Go to religious services
Go to bars and drink your fill
Cough me out in gyms and on beaches
Disregard all those foolish arbitrary rules

You did a fantastic job with this.
What else can I say?
Stay safe!

What a great short it is, too! I enjoyed the vivid descriptions and the great analogy.
I can see where a sailor would consider his boat the love of his life.
I didn't see any errors or edits needed in this very short story.
I wish you all the best,

You pulled me right in with this interesting short story with a twist - a genie or djinn with attitude! LOL
Okay, but now I have to admit, I don't understand what happened to the king. It is probably just me. I'm missing something, but I don't understand what happened to his wish, or how the djinn managed to outsmart him. Would you humor me and explain? Thanks!

Notes:

Typo in your author's notes:

It turns out when (your) given a sentence starter, it can be tricky!

I read these words twice through with great interest. I love the hidden meaning I found within. I think this is excellent writing.
The closing lines were perfect as is the artwork you chose to accompany this piece.

A salty drop now greets The lips once passion lit!

How true this can be.
Excellent work!

Peace Within the Beast by Wils

This was chilling to read, and very interesting as well. I have been on the receiving end of spousal abuse many years ago, and I remember a time when my ex was knocking at my door begging me to let him in because he 'just wanted to talk' - I knew better and didn't let him in, but to this day, I wonder if I was right or wrong.
I'm glad I no longer live with that fear of that beast within. But escape has had its price and consequences.
All the best. Very well done.

What a stunningly beautiful photograph to go with your beautiful words.

Promises made with two
hearts entwined
Fulfilled with the birth
of a child
Unbreakable circle of love

I loved it. I will remember it always.
No errors or edits needed.

We pray to God, the Son of God, the deity we know.
Then faith builds up, like layers of love, or tiers of gentle snow.

What a beautiful analogy this is. I like it a lot. I enjoyed your poem and that artwork is truly beautiful.

I didn't see any errors or editing needed. I thought this was very well done.
A gentle and kind reminder of how we can continue to grow in our faith.

I also particularly loved these lines:

God's word is in the wind across the prairie's rippling grass;
it's brighter than the bubbles in the finest, shining glass.

You have a wonderful gift for painting the most beautiful pictures with your words.
All the best,
Jan

This was super cute. I wish you the very best of luck with the writing prompt!

One spelling error:

devowered the slice, licked his lips,

devoured

All the best. A very cute short story!
