What a shiver this piece left me with. Well done. Your rhyme and rhythm are spot on. Leaving the reader with a bit of trepidation as well as a good chuckle. Interesting combination of reactions to have to one poem.

Ah Maureen. So well written. This piece has an almost dreamy feel to it, drawing the reader along on a literary cloud.
I could also feel your love of literature and writing that pours through every line.
Well done.

No. No wonder at all. I think they are all the same. If we are very lucky we are near (very near) a piece of paper when the words start to flow. If not, well then it's catch as catch can when it comes to fitting any of it back together again.
Nicely written and it brought a grin of recognition to my face reading it.

A Poet's Challenge by emrpoems

I feel like you've hit the nail right on the head with this piece. If poetry doesn't spring from and elicit emotion it is just so many words thrown together with no purpose.

While the heart of your poem should always be clear
Let music-filled words entice the reader's ear
Poems may be structured but they must lend appeal
That stirs up emotions that the reader can feel

This is the stanza that says it best to me. Beautiful.

I wrote a piece titled Poetic Voice that says something along the same lines.

Well done with this piece. You've drawn out the dark, cold and loss of this feeling so well. Your rhyme and rhythm work together to form a pleasing read.
I loved your addendum. I can't count the number of times I've wanted to shout out that what I've written isn't where I am right now.
Sometimes a poem just shows up demanding to be written.

Oh and aren't there a million of those out there now. LOL You've fit so much into so few words. Not sure if you've coined a new term there. But, it definitely fits.

Ah PF You've done it again. So beautifully written and poignant. That sense of near hope and desperation that permeates us when trying to see the way out of our personal trials. That feeling that nothing is or will change. The realization that we too feel the emptiness of our solitary journeys
Even a small reminder of life can bring us a moment of peace and a reason to go on.

Nice John. I do love the way your mind works. Even if it is a little warped. Very good description throughout and the tension is definitely building.
Looks like Danny had his prayer answered and Samantha is in for a world of hurt.

Appliance-Free by Cookie333

This piece definitely provided a good chuckle Karen. While modern appliances do have a place it is definitely possible and even relaxing to do without sometimes.
The rhyme and rhythm work perfectly here. And drew me along for a pleasant ride.
Thank you

It's Raining by pipersfancy

This is so wonderfully written Christina. The metaphor works beautifully here. The rain inside is always harder to cope with than that outside. At least outside you can come in out of it.
Depression is such a difficult thing to live with. But, it does pass eventually. I know because I've lived with it on and off most of my life.
If this is autobiographical. Hang in there. There are people rooting for you.
One minor thing you may want to look at. You use "force" twice in the final stanza. Hearing it like that is a little, shall we say, forced. LOL
