I didn't know what a palindrome is, or that it even existed until I read this. Don't worry about it, this sure sounds right to me. I think this is great with all the internal rhyming and the wonderful rhythm. Awesome! Les

LOL. I can just see that strike sign in your brain. Sunlight is what makes life, and without it there's nothing. Well crafted. Good luck with the contest. Les

Love the title. Got my curiosity going right away. Fear is the greatest prison of all, and sometimes we don't even know it's there. Like the short lines, reads smoothly. Also, like the double meaning in "wonder" Great stuff! Les

Love the flow. Reads really well, very spontaneous. Considering it's your palindrome, shows your talent. There's a spirit and whatever that is, guided you to write this excellent poem. Well done. Les

Really like the struture of this. Nice alliteration of S words. That glass chamber creates a great visual image in my mind. Reads smoothly and it's a poem that can vary in meaning. Well crafted. Les

The poem and picture are a perfect match. So few words, but speaks volumes. Like how you have shadows and light represent the good and bad of what there is in life. Each reader can put their meaning to this. Well crafted. Les

Can anyone know...? by royowen

I can truly relate to this. I just lost my mother three months ago, which is why I haven't been on this site. Love some of the imagery, as in: "Do loved ones ride on Angel's wings," I guess we won't know until it's our time. Also, the rhyming is superb. Hope your friend Ben does better. My prayers are with him. Superb writing! Les

I love dogs. This poem clearly shows how the circle of life never ends. It continues with a new birth that helps with the healing process. Love how this visualizes things, as: "slobber-covered tennis ball & ginger with golden eyes, swelled belly, and hungry tongue" Beautifully written! Les

LOL. I'm glad I'm not on that road. Reads very smoothly, and the rhyming gives it a fun quality. Nice enjambment as well. Are Vermont roads that bad? A fun read. Thanks for sharing. Les

Like how this comes full circle with the yelling. It's a poem about growing pains, which in this case I think made a better person. A poem with a definite meaning, and the rhyming is spot on. Well done! Les
