My first review since rejoining FanStory.
I glanced at a few poems that were ..... somewhat uninspiring.
Then this. A real delight. Lovely rhythmic and creative alliteration.
Smiled all the way through. Refuse to offer any suggestions because.......I can't think of any!!!! Very nice work, indeed ... thank you x

Really enjoyed this poetic song....... great use of slang and imagery......can feel the music too. Love Beggars Banquet, by the way.
Good to connect again......so much stuff in my life just now (sadly not all good) that reading and writing have been low on my list of things to do. That must change!!

I enjoyed this. It isn't perfect and could be better still. I've given it 5 stars because I suspect you will (should) revisit it (you can, anytime). For example 'lithe'...a forced rhyme where the meaning of the word is at odds with your intentions. I'll look at this poem in more detail when I have a bit more time and your other work. Captures the essence of physical aging for an immense person in your life. Well constructed and paced with growing involving intrigue.
Of course the revelation is as climatic (or anti-) as the readers personal perspective. No doubts as to how impactful the journey has been for you though.
Excellent piece. On a personal note I hope it springboards less inner turmoil for you.
Being true to oneself and honest is good.
Everyone is bisexual....it is only the degree/proportionality/circumstances that creates life/action choices (my thoughts!!)

The Breakdown of the Moon by Changeisgood

Fine poem Franny......
The mysterious moon.....for millenia a source of wonder, worship, romance. Reduced to dust and rocks by probing man.

Yet I would argue.....it still holds wonder and energic power for you, it still makes your breath catch and heart spin in a moonlit night. As for me, as for much of humanity.

Does knowledge diminish? Most scientist have a sense of powerful awe the more they discover, not less. The experience of those who stood on the surface of the moon has diminished none of the awe. Awestruck then and now.

Are there many who close their eyes to the magnificence of all around us...for sure. Eyes are there, though, waiting to be opened.
