Lovely entry for the contest. The photo and poem pair perfectly (sorry, perhaps too much poetry read today) and the format is followed. The personification of frost and his bride are a fun touch and you managed all this in two tiny lines. Bravo - Wendy

A great entry for the challenge. You created an easy read of a difficult subject. Your format and word choices held my attention and gained emotion through the power of personification. Internal rhymes of sights/flights, skies/eyes and left/bereft are tasty and appreciated. Thanks for including the video. Well done Jan.

I love this in-your-face set of quatrains. The "One World, One Government" folks must be apoplectic right now. Their indoctrination attempts, with the help of a much compromised press, are failing and I couldn't be happier. Makes it so much harder for the intelligentsia elite to rule us all, don't you think? Good piece, good topic, good artwork. Pretty perfect.

The 12 Steps of Christmas by dovemarie

Congratulations to you for writing this, which embraces all the steps as necessary to achieve the 12th. I really like the hopefulness of the 12th step, and decided that the seventh step must have been when you joined Fanstory. I can sincerely tell you that your work has brought both to your fellow Fanstorians. Merry Christmas my dear. - Wendy

This is so beautifully done Nancy. The Pantoum form can be nothing but a repetitive mess with the chosen theme adhered to at the cost of good grammar and suspicious rhyming. I absolutely love this one and its gentle
handling of the harsh topic of rejection. The closing enveloped lines work perfectly. - Wendy

Well, I somehow missed this one the first time around and so must say, Thank you! Thank you! since this is the second posting. Your slightly off kilter (I mean this in the nicest way) sense of humor is so delightful when it is brought to life in these cutie patootie Penguins. I also appreciate that you posted the abridged version of the 12 days as the monotony of the whole thing is always a bridge too far. Merry Christmas back at you and I hope your feel better soon. Loved the whole thing!! - Wendy

A Christmas invite by Pearl Edwards

How fun to share in a Down Under Christmas tale. I appreciate the weaving of tales, song, and anticipation of what was to come (from knowing the tales themselves). The only fault I find is that I will have the darn 12 days song running through my head for the rest of the day, ladies dancing interspersed with Kangaroos and my own refrain of, "Dodging emu poo-oo under the tree." - Wendy

A lovely theme and ending Dawn. The rhyme and rhythm were not only perfect, but nothing seemed forced into place. I like the movement you brought with the enjambment in the stanzas and from one stanza to the next. Well done my friend. Merry Christmas to you too!

Love the lines in this skeletal form, love the artwork. It is in these tiny poems that I find the biggest challenge and I applaud your effort. - Wendy

You have tackled a difficult form here. While I am not fond of the form, your tree and forest references throughout were a great landing place for my ruminations on the chosen theme. Nicely worded and executed. - Wendy
