Carry My Shadow by tbacha58

This poem tells of a dark place. Most people seem to suffer from depression at one time or another. Suicide is never an option! Just think of those you hurt when you leave them behind. It's good to see you back, Teri. To me, this was a wise stanza:
Her youth was evaporating,
she needed to stabilize
her elderly emotions,
to stop living in the past,
if not, her future,
will never be lived.
Past memories can be a thorn in the side, but it is always the future we must look to.
Keep well.

The Fan Project by Spitfire

This was a clever title. I liked the way you used the fan to work on in the story but there were many double meanings along the way.
A great ending too--
So now, the shit is going to hit the fan?

Not after we spent all this time putting it together!

Sadly, this is true:
Haters endure whether you are normal or cuckoo.

Typo:

"losing touch" / space

Big Brother Sticking Its Nose In. by Sankey
Chapter 53 of the book The Little Dog That Wouldn't Let Go

This is such a sad state of affairs, Jeffery. It is true, some people get very nervous in test situations. It seems harsh to have to go through all of this in senior years. I am sure you are not alone. I hope you live in an area that has a good bus service. When I was young I couldn't wait to leave home--I thought everything would get easier. Over the years I've come to realise that things go full circle as people age. With a worldwide ageing western population, you are bound to get a sure blog following. Maybe you could link up with Grey Power. I hope you pass your next test with flying colours.

Plan Our Golden Years by Sandra du Plessis
Chapter 69 of the book 37. Relationships

I loved reading your poem!
Sadly, this is too true:
We plan with joy our golden years
when young we think it takes too long,
before we know that time is here
Love lasts forever, but we must choose wisely.

As a mother, I have to say, I just love your last two lines in this poem:
All children bring such joy right from the start.
Their everlasting love grows in my heart.
Children are a gift from God. If only all parents would love and nurture their kids just like the precious gifts they are meant to be.

Hi, Sasha! Good job with your refereeing efforts so far. I enjoyed reading this post--you have such an honest way of writing things that's refreshing.
I haven't heard this expression before:
snow bunnies
It sounds descriptive and amusing. I'm sure the Canadians disagree!

Best wishes in the poetry contest. This is such a sad poem. It reads like it's real--and I suppose it is for many unfortunate families. These soldiers deserve honour and respect. I like what you have set out to do with this poem.

Hi, Sandra. This chapter read well. I like the way you placed links at the bottom of your page that takes readers back to your synopsises. It's much better doing that than writing out the whole thing each time.
