Transgender vs Women Rights?
by lancellot Chapter 9 of the book On The Radio
For God's sake, Lance, would you please publish the 'call in' number??? I've been sitting here for months trying to get on the Martin the Man show and the frustration is killing me!!! Mercy! Please! I have to get a word in edgewise!
Like: why does having his own, private locker room translate into his being denied the company of women? He attends school with them, sees them everywhere he goes.
If he turns off other women, if they won't socialize with him, pick him for the team, designate him as their leader, does that automatically translate into them being bigots? Is the whole team out of step but Lila? Well, according to 'him', it would seem so. I categorically disagree.
Oddly enough, I spent a large part of yesterday afternoon with my hairdresser, who happens to be homosexual. As always seems to happen, the topic turned political and next thing you know, we're talking about gay issues.
So, once again, he says to me, 'believe me, I'm conservative, it's how I live and what I believe in. And yet, how can I vote for someone who's against me having the same civil rights that my straight friends have?
"If they'd just stay out of my bedroom, I'd always vote Republican. As it is, I just don't vote." Deep sigh.
Oh, btw, you spelled Lila with an 'e', about midway through the article.
PM me with that phone number and I'll see you 'on the air', lol.
Hugs,
Gayle
