Pale Winter Afternoon by Gloria ....

Hi Gloria,
Nicely done, yes, you definitely painted a winter scene
in the readers mind. Your use of metaphors are keenly
placed.. I like the poem very much. Right down to the
startled ravens... And yes, every village has a 'poem' to tell
especially from experts like yourself. Good to read your
work again.
Love, Carolyn

Hello mystery writer,
you certainly capitalized on the 'wordology' :)
I think I like it.. Full description of a huge,
elephantesimal sky, wondering if the stars stare
back and if they do... what do they see..
They are like lighthouses , ever on duty except when
a few fall now and then..
Best wishes to you for a win...

Broken Bubbles In Life's Stream by rama devi

How do we measure a life?
Good question!!!
It's seeing the bubbles, broken and merged.
The book of James likens life to a vapor which appears for a little
while and is gone..
Nicely done,
Carolyn

Nicely written,
Yes, I think we are all attached to ourselves in this earthly body we live in. We 'feel' we would like to leave it in due time but are afraid to do so. Actually, when we leave it we will have so much to gain, if we have lived in a manner to achieve that everlasting home.
nice read, best wishes for the contest.

Please Don't Abuse the Muse by duchessofdrumborg

The muse can certainly mess with the flow. Especially when it goes
on 'strike.' I know there are times when I have writing assignments to
finish and poetry floats through my mind, never to be written. Then
there are times when nothing happens. Whatever your muse is doing
at the time, I hope her fickle self will get in gear and help you with
whatever you are longing for.
Good read,
Carolyn

Hold on to your happiness by Benny Beeharry

Seeking happiness is something we all do
And as you noted we often rub shoulders with
it, sometimes never knowing the opportunity
that could have been ours.
Well done, I enjoyed the poem

Give to Live by Harry Smith

Giving as we purpose is the best advice ever given.
And as your poem states, God loves a cheerful giver...
The more we give, the more we get, even though
we do not give for that reason.
Well done,
Carolyn

Each challenge that comes our way can
certainly create excitement if we meet it
in that manner. I liked your 5-7-5. The flow
of your poem lends to the readers understanding.
Well done

I enjoyed the poem and felt you had addressed White very
thoroughly. Purity of birth , purity of virginity, whiteness of hair
as we age, and white at death.
Well done,
Carolyn

I like this one,
Yes, God is so big he fills all His own creation, can be everywhere at once,
and yet can fill our hearts at the same.
Well written and beautiful.
