Well, G'day Padna

Thank you so much for this beautiful posting. I really appreciate your efforts and so does Delia. You and I have worked very hard to get to this point and again, I love you being along for the journey.

Who would have ever thought that a broken down old hack like me would have his story in a book.

If people need the link they can send me a friend request on facebook the name is the same, Walu Feral.

Cheers and thanks again

The Piasa Bird by davisr (Rhonda)
Chapter 3 of the book Legend Chasers

G'day again, Sis.

********** (These usually only have three; such as *** or ###)

""Tell her," Conner said, thumping his own shooter at the contested blue(-)green orb,"

"A putrid odor bathed them like an old horse blanket that had sat too long in a damp puddle, and chased off the scent of baking roast." (Yep, that'll do it. Great placement with the eeriness.)

"Without a word, the older man opened fire on the dragon-like creature." (Crikey... In Australia, we call shotguns, "scatterguns" because the bullets scatter. Scary shooting one where your two kids are, even if they're being attacked by a giant, hairy, lion-bird lol.)

"The bird dropped its prey in the middle of the marble circle and flew away with an unholy screech." (Phew! The old lady and the frying pan did the trick!)

"I've heard the South is rich with storytellers. It is a gift that should be treasured." (Correct, it's a dying art, thanks, in part, to the likes of Bill Gates and that Apple dude!")

What a great chapter, mate. I love that paisa bird. I'm sure glad we didn't have those buggers in the desert or I'd have had to catch them as a trial. lol.)

Brilliant work.

Cheers Fez

Chapter 2 of the book Legend Chasers

G'day Padna.

Sorry again for my delayed reviews.

"Nara looked around and saw a cozy bed, complete with a fluffy pink comforter," (I just got out of mine, but, mine is more like a giant bed with a tiny, spread-eagled, jumping kwala.)

"I do, they're exquisite. Are they portrayals of scenes from this area. (-. +?)"

***

"Mr. B? What's the B short for, Bull?"

"No, Ma'am, Bastard." (Hahahaha! Well played.)

***

"Could this place get any more yokel?" (Maybe italicize this line.)

"In an odd sort of way, she couldn't help from hoping there was" (Drop the "from" out of this line... I think.)

A very nice intro to the facility and beautifully descriptive and written. I know she's there to mend a damaged heart, but, I get a slight sense of romance in the air between her and Hank. Bring it on.

Great job and the Princes Baboy/Jumping kwala and the little serial pest say "kumusta."

Cheers Fez

Well, howdy Padna.

It's great to see you kick to year off to a good start. Sorry I haven't been around much, life is just way too busy to get anything done at the moment. We are in the process of renovating so we have room for when April-Rose (my daughter) comes.

Anyway, enough raving on, Fez...

"A large gray bus pulled up creaking and groaning like an old man." (lol. Nice similie)

""Most of my teaching material is online, or already at the school," Nara replied." (The online bit sounds sound weird in a place like that. I like weird lol.)

"luggage into the bed of his black truck like bags of range cubes." (Please, for the unenlightened... what the heck is a range cube?)

""Don't forget your seat-belt.(, should be a comma.)" Hank said. He pointed at a stained strap."

"She wiped particles of food off it's (its) surface."

Sounds like Nara may have got herself in a place where she'll forget her sore heart and remember food hanging from her purse lol.

An interesting start to this yarn and I'll be back to read the rest asap.

Great job.

Cheers Fez

G'day Helen.

Beautifully written with a stunning image to compliment it.

These little poems are so hard for me to write, but you nailed this contest entry and I wish you the best of luck in it, mate.

Great job.

G'day Ine.

I'm not much good at this type of thing, because I am a very soft person. But, I am so sorry for your loss, I know from what you have written over the years how much you two loved each other.

At least he won't be in pain any more and will be in the arms of God.

Take care my friend and all the best.

Hahahaha! G'day Phyllis.

I'm laughing so much that I forgot to look for any errors. I don't think there are any.

I love that hair ad and the possible side effects and that cube... sheesh! I'd like a ticket for a ride inside your head if they ever go on sale lol.

Great job.

G'day Barbara.

"Anderson scanned the room. "I don't see an elephant. And yes, the dogs are taken care of." (Hahahaha!)

"After licking her lips, she continued, "Drew, I need to leave immediately." (Oh no!)

"No(,) wait. Please don't leave," interjected Shana."

"I can ensure your safety here and I can't if you're elsewhere." (Correct! I agree.)

"So(,) there is a benefit from marrying out of the Jewish faith." (he's gotchya there, girlie!)

"Deuteronomy 7: 3-4 in the Torah forbids intermarriage, for many reasons." Well, on the other hand, maybe not. Lol.)

Another very well written chapter with a couple of educational bits thrown in as well. Also, a very unpredictable chapter as you can probably tell by my babbling above.

Great job and I'm so glad that's the reason she's leaving... sheesh! I'm not doing very well, here, am I? I meant, not because the kid is sick, but, because she's not leaving because he propositioned her.

Fab work, ma'am.

Cheers Fez

G'day Robyn.

A thoughtful one, indeed. As always, beautifully written and presented, with a top quality message.

A darn good question, where does the time go? It seems to fly past now, when it used to drag on when I was young. I wish it would slow down lol.

Great job.

Hahahaha! G'day, mate.

Very nicely done and also very witty.

Personally, I do it all the time here, in the Philippines. I've got so much junk and people keep giving me more, so, I pass it on to people who have nothing lol.

Great job

Cheers Fez
