A Christmas Message by RGstar

Hello Roy, Well, there is no way I, or anyone could fault this lovely piece of writing. You write what everyone, somewhere in your writing, will find what touches them. You do not have to be a great believer, but in a sinking ship All, without doubt, would pray to God for help - I think that is what it is all about. Nobody with any sense, for example, could believe in a virgin birth. There is much in the bible that is hard to swallow - take what appeals but don't choke to death. Sorry if I sound cynical - seems I am.
Loved this work of yours - especially -
Rejoice then, all creeds;
the meek, the mild, and all who dream.
Come join with voice, a Christian hymn.
And if in sadness dwell,
come, come, come and sing.
for every entity has a home,
every creature, great or small.
Welcome...welcome, one and all.... Best wishes and warm regards, Dorothy xx

Hello Lori, take a six - this is very good. Maybe 'in' anticipation - 'operates' in silence. But it's only a suggestion - fine as it is. Hope all is well, despite the horrible period we are living through. Love Dorothy x

Lori, this is a beautiful and such a truthful piece of work. That is exactly how it is. Our childhood, then giving birth and enjoying our own children. They grow and slowly drift as time passes. Lucky if they live near, but mobility is the norm nowadays. I feel blessed my family all live near and I have just become a great-grandmother - two gorgeous little girls boosting the number. But deep inside I treasure the time, so long ago when as a child we celebrated with much love, little wealth and those memories linger. Loved your poem - hope you win. Love Dorothy xx

Wheels Of Life by jaybird1

Hello Jaybird, you have written a great poem with added aabb rhyme maintained throughout and the contend is sound. You write what a great many think when they reach a certain age, and even before. I particularly like your first stanza -

The wheels of my life keep daily spinning,
as I hang on for another inning.
My body is bent, my eye sight long gone,
I hope that fate will let me carry on.

I'm sure fate will let you carry on - your mind is sound.otherwise you would not be writing consistantly good work. Keep it up and carry on. Warm regards Dorothy x

Hello Victor, a nice read. If it is already laid down then why bother to train our minds. We would be just be wasting precious time by 'judging ourselves immortal.' Perhaps it might help to lighten the load and give you a 'high' for a while. We can't escape reality though. Keep smiling. Regards Dorothy x

Hello Diane, Well written and appropriate for the times we live in. Nice pairing of the words rejuvenation/consternation. The title is the main message in this piece - finding the right direction, despite all the problems faced by the world upheaval. Well done - hope all is well. Warm regards Dorothy xx

The Red Telephone Box by Aussie

Hello Kace, Love this! I spent much time in those telephone kiosks. Standing in the rain waiting for the person in the kiosk to hurry and finish their chatter. No home phones or mobiles when I was young. You have written a good poem personifying those kiosks and I enjoyed the read which brought back memories. Lots of love - Dorothy xxx

Hello Karenina, this is a very lovely, honest write, very well and tastefully written. It happens, and you have written this poetically and together with your author notes, especially your note about your granddaughter shows a caring soul. She will live her life just as you did and no doubt your grandmother worried about you. Well done - warm regards Dorothy x

Hello Poeticxscape, this is a lovely read - a fitting epitaph. I've not seen your work on Fanstory, but enjoyed this one immensely - particularly -
Let the flowers take root on the surface of your heart.
Let the wonder of love start.
In those lines, my soul lies hence.
I did not perch on anyone's fence...... Warm regards Dorothy x

Hello Valda, a well written poem on a good subject. It is amazing that young children seriously ill in hospital still manage to smile and appear so brave. It is very moving, as is this poem. Good final stanza. Stanza four - bring tears - drop the s/bring. Well done - another good one from you. Warm regards Dorothy x
