Flowing water is always a great subject to write about, and even in the right poem for "going off the point" style. It still shines with the literary skill of a good writer, one of my favourites along with the villanelle, it requires time to fashion, and despite writing many, I still have to look up its form specifications. Well done Yvonne, beautifully written and skilfully crafted, good job, blessings Roy

This is a very shrewd viewpoint. We are certainly beset by doubt and fear, and a mild attack of agoraphobia, after enduring a couple of months of confined living. Beautifully written entry in this contest, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

Fortunately our kids have left home and have children problems of their...hang on, we still have to sit grandkids. Beautifully written and very amusing and entertaining, well done Roy

I love this very amusing poem Valda, I'm so glad you enjoyed making a little fun of these statues which very little is known of just why and how they were made, the original ancestors stripped practically every tree from the island's landscape, and mysteriously vanished. Written in abb acc add aee rhyming, fabulous poem, well done, blessings, Roy

You didn't mention if he was black or not, as Haiti was a French colony, and had lots of slaves there, one wonders if Haiti's turbulent political history and troubles has a spiritual hanging over it, because of its voodoo culture. Well done Judy, beautifully written, blessings Roy
