The Ghosts of Jenkins House
by Father Flaps
How exciting dear friend, I must admit I've never seen a ghost, or rather an apparition, but my beliefs don't embrace the idea either, so I don't believe or disbelieve. But I do like the stories and this great poem, skilfully scribed and full of your undoubted poetic abilities, well done, blessings Roy

Hi Roy,
I don't know if I believe in ghosts or not. I thought I saw one once shortly after my father passed away (New Years Eve of 2019 at 95 years of age). I had fallen asleep on the living room couch, and my wife was just calling me for supper. As I was coming to, I saw a figure by the bedroom door. It was a man in a plaid shirt. He quickly turned away from me, to the right, and disappeared... like he was going through an invisible door. Then, he was gone! It was only brief seconds. My Dad often wore plaid shirts, same as me. It's the "Scot" in us... McAdam. But I know my father went straight to Heaven when he died. It didn't scare me. It was quite a treat actually.
Thanks for your kind review, and the gift of shiny stars! I appreciate it!
This poem, as well as "The Headless Nun of French Fort Cove" are going to be in David Goss's new book coming out this summer!
Blessings,
Kimbob
