Leader is a short but poignant 2-10-2 poem that cuts to the chase of what true leadership does for the team. Dr. John C Maxwell says teamwork makes the dream work. Sometimes, leaders forget that they are part of the team. I have worked for bosses who thought their job was to yell at their people. Great job on the form and good luck with the contest. This is a beautiful poem that commemorates the love between two people who fall in love and become husband and wife. The act of marriage is almost always coupled with the unending optimism of eternal bliss. A little part of me would like to revisit this couple in ten years. A Futile Quest For Quiet by Ogden

I don't want to like this. But as I reflect on it, I love it. One thing I like is the rhyming scheme. I know it's just me but I like our Palms to rhyme and yours does well. Also the subject matter hits too close to home best of luck in the contest you have entered.

The old commercial for black colleges that use to run said this: The mind is a terrible thing to waste! For almost all of us, it is a lifelong challenge to do the right thing for the right reason for the right length of time for the right outcome. Based on what you've written I believe you would concur that mental health is sometimes a precarious shot in the head.

I Came to fan story in 2014. I really attacked it fast and furious and my friends and family thought all I did was write poetry and hang out on this strange website. While I was here back then I put Humpwhistle, along with one or two others on my list to be notified every time you wrote something. I've just come back in the back door and thought I'd hang out a little bit and see if I wanted to start hanging out back here some more. I got a notification in my messages that humpwhistle had submitted a new piece. When I read this script, I was reawakened to the reason I put you on my notification list. You sir, are an excellent writer! If I had six stars you would have them. I don't, so all you get is five, I owe you one!
