This is a sad tale of wasted talent. so many end up going down this unfortunate road. I have often caught myself wondering whether if drugs had been around in my youth would I? After all I went down the booze 'n baccy route. I am just so glad to have reached the age of reason before the coming of the age of resin

It is good to see you using words of more than just two syllables. the longer words add a touch of class to this tropical tale, that could equally well have found its way into your animal crackers club. Great fun.

I think you would need considerable quantities of polythene to act as an incubator. I have known them to produce as many as sixteen young in a single hatching when incubated in this manner. This was quite a Charmin' little tale really. (If that last sentence is bewildering it is probably because that brand has been stockpiled by Germans unable to reserve sunbeds by Spanish swimming pools in the current crisis)

Ever since I went on a business trip to South Africa in 1970 I thought poinsettias were indigenous to that country where I saw them growing wild in hedgerows beside the road not far from Durban. they certainly brightened the scene in July there.

Who needs collagen implants with this lot? So the bud is more striking than the bloom. Now that is a proper turn up for the book. I presume that when it morphs into a 'plane' in your notes it is a result of the psychadelic ingestion. Lol.

When I first saw this contest I thought the ghost of some old Elizabethan playwright must be abroad, although i had heard that the idea was being given a wider airing. I have never heard of this software but I can understand the need to take the pomposity out of the boss in a video conference. Great fun and full marks for creativity.

That is the way most word counters deal with hyphenated words so you should be all right as far as word totals go. Whether it was the content or not I can't say but I found myself thing how strange it was that the difference between modest and molest was de el.

I thought that might appeal to you.

What a lovely idea. Is your drive made up of pebbles of magnetite or are you cheating by glueing little disk magnets onto non-magnetic pebbles? If the latter I hope you have found a supplier prepared to deliver.

I liked the way your two alliterative stanzas seem to be in orbit around the the central, non-alliterative one. Oh! I get it now. You are using bar magnets set like pole to like pole and they'll be in orbit forever.

I rather like the freedom you have introduced into this poem. The swap lines are all of ten syllables but the point of split is variable. Most of the swap quatrains split plumb in the middle but only the first stanza does that here and the others go for a six/four or four/six split, which seems to mirror the variations in the species using this log.

Clearly too much plonk might make you honk but just enough and perhaps a bonk would be in order. Maybe when it's all over we would want to pronk if we could, like the guy in the UK adverts for viagra!
