Love Betrayed by Patty Palmer

This looping poem expresses a lot of disappointment about love lost. It points out the anguish of hope unfilled.

Focusing on the sacrifice and price of war. The nature of which takes life. Here the casualty is the end of a life together. The end of a promised family.

All too tragic.

Every year people take a trip up the mountain to see the aspen trees. In a similar fashion, they dominate the landscape.

The comparison to line dancers is truly creative just thinking about how they line the lane in your picture.

Good job!

The poem reminds me of the song by Nancy Sinatra. "These boots are made walking". It was very popular years ago.

The flow of this poem keeps up a fast pace, just as if I were walking in this fashionable footwear.

The artwork matches the writing, and I like the leopard print as a back drop.

The ancient Egyptians new the truth of this and they venerated our feline friends for their affinity.

My cat recently went to her eternal rest, carrying those secrets to the sky above.

Wonderful.

Hey, hey, hey, the irony of revenge and the cruelty of fate. Vanity, pride, lust, want and hearts devoid of love.

A true recipe for disaster.

This one carries beyond the grave when innocence is slighted.

Love it.

What one would call a crutch can often me an admission that we are all indeed... crippled in one way or another. So, those who refuse the help are the ones truly deceived.

Stirring, thoughtful and brilliant.

Great Job.

There is a wisdom that only time and experience can forge.

The foolishness of youth is that they believe such wisdom can be achieved without pain and loss.

Love the rhymes.

Great Job.

yeah, and they often wonder why people shy away from them. I do work at a Rescue Mission and meet many such folk. They smell of various things and summer is by far the worst.

Still, I smile and try to endure as I speak and encourage them.

Very vivid!

This is a vivid portrayal of a WWII European battle scene. I can't help but think of the Battle of the Bulge. So many fought so valiantly and surrendered life, limb and friend.

We can only thank them today and pray their souls have forgotten the horror of war.

Nothing like customer service and that warm welcoming smile. All these other places that act like they are doing you a favor just doesn't sit right.

When I lived in Chicago, IL, we had many such local shops that were in walking distance and a pleasure to enter.

Well said, well written.
