Mother May I? by Dean Kuch

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

God bless you for this poem of war and how it related to innocents. Tears blur my eyes as I imagine the trials. Those were horrible, up front, personal and in your face wars. May we never have to face one ourselves. Your writing here displays a tender and merciful heart, my hero. Such a fine presentation, Dean...bless you.

This just lifted me out of a depression and filled my heart with joy and love. Those little faces and that snuggle of love is so precious. It is lovely for you to add notes for us. It is a great entry for the contest and best of luck to you.

I loved Paladin and watched him all the time. All my father watched was westerns. I used to know Paladin's song by heart, lol...The Rifleman, I still shudder over the one where a rattler got in his bed...Gunsmoke and Dennis Weaver...Wagon Train...all those good men, heroes every one.
Rawhide...get em up...move em out...Rawhide...
Brought me a bunch of good memories!

What Falling from Grace Means by Deniz22

Excellent piece the meaning of grace. Some folks think once is enough. But a lifelong walk with Christ is what I believe in. I have stumbled and been picked up, my sins dusted off and my walk continued. You have done a great job of explaining these concepts.

You gave an "oh gosh" moment when you got the flea scratching line, LOL I thought the poem was about you, not having paid attention to the title, anxious to read the poem! This is humor, yet I feel for city dogs.To be free is a joy!

A glorious poem about seeing every smallest thing as well as the large. When we see the miracle of achievement our hearts burst with joy. When my 15-month-old son watched Sesame Street one day and read a word on his own, I was so ecstatic I told everyone. Joy is in noticing everything.

You last lines are prophetic and wonderfully presented as advice for us all. I see this is for a contest and I wish you the best of luck. It is easy to find gloom and doom in life, but the silver linings save us!
