Dear La Tessa, I am glad that you were learning how to use illustrations as part of your poetry Posted here on FanStory. The only suggestion I could make to make this, particular poem better, would be to increase the font size and make it in black, rather than color, which is Overwhelmed by the color of the Illustration that you have chosen.

Slavery in the Americas by lyenochka

Dear Helen, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the reading that you have done in order to write this essay. I, for one, was completely ignorant of the number of slaves sent to Brazil, and the involvement of the Portuguese in the slave trade. I was also ignorant of blacks and Indians owning slaves.

Dear diane, it seems with every poem you write, an important issue is presented too. I for one, did not know that dandelions were a very important source of food for our main pollinators The honeybees, who certainly need, All the food they can get; particularly when people do not have fruit trees or flowers.

Dear JLR, It does not surprise me that you could write some thing that says so much in just a few words. They must create so many images and memories, in each reader, just as they did in mine.

Present Tense by judiverse

Dear judi, Your thoughts on the subject of the 'present' were most interesting. Particularly your very last stanza. You are right the present does not stand still, but I think it exhausts us, rather than fortifying us, for the future. Change does not come easy when you get settled in your old ways, and the older you get, the harder it gets.
( Just the perception of a little old lady )

Dear robyn, You are right, this particular post did not need an illustration. I must admit however, that I am not haunted by Toms text box, Because I scribble my poems on a piece of yellow paper. I only need to fill the box when I'm trying to write a review for you!

My Prayer for You Today by robyn corum

Dear robyn, if I received a card with this poem in it, I would know that it certainly did not come from Hallmark.
In addition, everything you said made very good sense to me, and bringing prayer and God into it, made it even more special.

Dear Beth, your memory is phenomenal. I could not re-count the years, much less all the special adventures that I spent with my two children during that same time period. The one advantage I had, was that I was able to work at home doing cost accounting for my father and his partner who was a builder of new homes.

Dear duchess, what a wonderful way to present each of your animals. A cascade of beautifully presented text, moving from one to the next, describing each in turn, with carefully chosen words, to tell us all about them.
A most appreciated post.

Dear Helen, both your picture and your poem, have set us All to thinking about next spring, because everybody has certainly had enough of winter for this year.
But hope springs eternal, it is the end of February which means we only have another 30 days before March goes out like a lamb, And all FanStory poets living in the south, will be writing and posting about flowers like crazy.
