Palaver by lyenochka
Chapter 213 of the book Word for That

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

Dear Helen, at least this was the word that I had heard before with the meaning probably of the uncle John kind.
( The type of palaver that could kill a cadaver )
I found it most educational to learn the etymology of this word and about John Elliot's work in translating all of the king James Bible into Algonquin !
This probably explains why all of the Algonquin tribes were allies to the British, in the French and Indian wars two centuries latter,

Squires and Mermaids by lancellot
Chapter 25 of the book Another Life

Excellent

Dear lancellot, The purpose of your title was made clear as this story progressed. What bothers me most is that Paul has chosen to spend his money on a house, and he is soon to be sent away to do the Duke's bidding. What then can Crista do, except carry a note of permission; that can be taken away from her in a flash, and leave her helpless and enslaved to another. Or have you another twist in mind?

Dear Iza, you have now been COVIDLY promised another year or two of watching sappy Christmas movies. (smile)
This is an excellent, clearly written essay, but there is one part that I do not understand!
The last 11 words of this post, makes no sense to me.
Would you be so kind as to write me to explain?

Chapter 2 of the book A Genius' Assistant

Dear Lisa, because I did not review your earlier chapters I wanted to know if you gave any biographical information about your Chinese American risk taking woman.
It would be user friendly for your readers, to know how to pronounce her name. Could you make this a part of your Author's notes?

Dear Humpwhistle, I marvel at the skill with which you can write dialogue. I can hardly wait for the next chapter to see what kind of language Frank uses.
As a Louisiana card shark, he must have developed some sort of southern dialect.

Dear Author, if you are already published I would buy one of your books in a moment. This is a truly romantic story, with believable characters and a very good start to a relationship, that one day will make another very good novel.
