One wonders what he walking to, or away from, and why. I see a very big, heavy door that is hard to open. I see the inner fight with the door, which is really his own soul. Great poem Colin. Well done, again!

Colin, you've done it again, created a fun story in a few lines. I wonder how many things a window washer sees in a day? So many stories to peek in on! And, I imagine, a lot of word albeit funny things to come upon!

"a glimpse of yesterday's love", beautiful line, says so much. Sad memories, warm ones, happy? A lot of room to wonder and decide upon. Really nice poem Dolly. Brings a lot of warm memories to my mind.

Love the contrast of the pink, feminine picture and the bold, gruesome description of the culture. Very visual poem Dolly, and as usual, a very good poem. Well done my internet friend!

What a surprising end! I was so happy for him in the beginning, then he sees her... perhaps we build love up so much in our thoughts that we forget the reality? Fantastic poem Colin, well done!

This is lovely, poignant and wistful. I love this line, "marking the path
towards all the other continuously flat
and endless possibilities." Endless possibilities, in life, love, dreams? So many to pick from. This poem brings memories and dreaming to mind. Very nice, thank you for sharing.

Hound Dog Face by EricDaGoose

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

"I am a man, in this world, trying to find my place." Oh MY!! Truer words have never been spoken. We are all trying to find our place in the world, and when people judge us as soon as they see us, it's so much harder to do. Love the message here, don't judge me until you walk in my shoes and know who the "me" is....unfortunately people do this all the time, and it's my biggest pet peeve...cannot stand how often this happens in the real world. The real world is cruel, which is why I write and create my own world, as you have done here. Just love the picture too, what a wise old hound dog you are.

I think the words work great for what you tried to convey. The words flow, there's humor and talent here! I really enjoyed reading it. "he nailed up what he had his heart in" is a wonderful line, Martin has his heart in the church, he started a movement by sharing his heart, you took the thought you had and ran with it, perfectly. Very well written words, I love the humor shown and love that included the knowledge about Martin Luther, it explains the reasoning of the poem. Very nice. Good luck in the contest.

The Kids Poetry Library by Dolly'sPoems

Absolutely love the whimsy of this poem!! I have always encouraged reading with my kids, when they were younger. We still have our favorite books, just between us, no one else gets it when we quote the pages. Now I try to encourage my Grandchildren to read, they're getting there. I took my Grandson to the library when he was 4, he had a blast. Love the message here Dolly, read and you can open the world. Lovely poem.
