Hi Eve, I like your style of your poetry and hope you keep it unique as a lot on here are very the same and this was a joy to read as I listen to the song in the background, I have four grandchildren and two are twins and I spend as much time as I can with them and they look forward to seeing me as much as I do them.. Kind regards Colin

It's Not Just the Mustache! by lyenochka

Hi Helen, a lovely offering here in your true story, I have been watching loads of Korean films on Netflix and they have beards and mustaches lol,
maybe they just don't like Americans.
On a more serious note; Japan declared war on the US and Britain due to an act of aggression to halt Japan's steel production ref;shipping lanes which was their lively-hood and an attack on their Emperor and Empire. They fought many wars before WWII started and had a war with China which they won, not many people know that.. Roosevelt was no angel here and the horrid attack on the Japanese Islands and as you mention, were horrific and unforgiving. Pearl harbor was to stop US ships from sinking or to stop the steel from reaching China, this un-official declaration of war by our countries war seen as an act of war by Japan.
I will check out the"ASIAN HOLOCAUST" as you call it and the "Russian Holocaust" is not mentioned very much either pre-WW1 or the slaughter of Germans living in the divided up countries after he treaty off Versailles, before Hitler decided to do something about it in WW2.
Anyhow a really great story that I will look forward to checking out to see if it is true. Cheers Colin XX
