This is my last entry of the day. Your last line is a great idea. I have stopped entering those contests but if I change my mind, I will follow your advice. Nice Job...

~ A Fishy Problem ~ by Jannypan (Jan)

Hello Jan.

I am unskilled in the style so I cannot comment on that. I am not a fan of the style but the message is one I am not familiar with. I was not aware of the Coho problem but I hope it gets solved.

I've entered two contests since September. That was more than usual. I used to but don't want to now. Each of the last three months I have had a story nominated for story of the month. No wins. However in one contest, I received 89 views and 3 reviews. That made me laugh. I laugh a lot on FS.

Monochromatic World by Katherine M. Kean

Hello Katherine.

I'm sure the world in black and white would be a little drab. Your use of words in the poem is descriptive like: "Slow drip of snow-melt loudest roar."

If there was a picture, it did not come through.

Hello Dolly.

Lincoln saved the Union. Had he not, this would be a land of two countries or many. Texas was a Republic on it's own at one time. Your sonnet is well written.

My Old House by robyn corum

Hello Robyn.

Your house picture reminded me of some of the TVA back in the early thirties. In E. TN some houses were abandoned forcibly and they ended up in the middle of lakes created by early projects. There was an old movie called, "Wild River" 60 years ago. As soon as I saw the picture, that movie popped into my mind.

Your poem is well done and tells the story of your old house very descriptively. The poem is an excellent ekphrastic poem.

Hello Sal.

You use lots of descriptive terms in the poem. The detailed descriptions of everything from her aged face to the garden bench draws a wonderful verbal vision of the picture.

Good luck in the contest.

Hi Mystery Writer.

You did a good job of using all of the required words to complete your poem. It is a good metaphor comparing a new play opening to spring. Maybe this spring, people will even be allowed to go see a play.

Being at the beach is fun. Mountains are funner. When I go away, I go up a long hill so I can look down on all of the people that look down on me. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Just jokin'

Hello Susan.

That is a haunting picture. I appreciate your description of the painting. I could visualize the image by reading your descriptive "verbal-visual." This is very nicely done and I wish you good luck in the contest.
