An absolutely excellent piece of writing! I don't agree with every bit of it but that's often true with political discussions. I'm not sure about the money set aside for the huge wall, which was never built, when supposedly we were told by Mr. Trump that Mexico would pay for it. Our Allies have completely stop trusting us, yet most of them say they're glad we have a new president. While I know illegal immigrants are a huge problem, two of my sisters live in Arizona. They said thank God the illegal Mexican immigrants are working so hard because most of the Americans there don't want to bother doing anything menial. Mr. Trump just lied too often for me. As far as President Biden goes, we shall see. He certainly has his work cut out for him, for the first four executive orders he signed were undoing things that Mr. Trump had done. According to MSNBC, he did not need Congress to do those. Of course I keep an open mind and know that the news is not always right.I truly respect your intelligence, your informative writing, and the passion with which you write. And even if I don't always agree with you, I will continue to read your posts, as I find them very interesting and extremely informative. This one helped me look at both sides a little more clearly. The only thing I will say, that I feel strongly about and will probably bring in a lot of disagreement, is that now we have a president in the White House who has a heart.

Hello Therese.
I am quite used to people not agreeing with some things I say. Thank you for your complimentary comments about the writing of the piece. I have no problem that you disagree with some of the writing.
One thing I do not do is make up stuff. These are issues that I see as problematic and that's why I mentioned them. Some people don't see them as a problem.
All executive orders can be overturned by an Executive Order of a subsequent president. What I liked about Trump was his policies. I was not enthralled with him. In fact, I was critical of him. People got mad at me when I said that he lost the election after the first debate. I knew that people would not like the way he acted because I was upset by his actions.
What's become unfortunate is that Trump voters and conservatives are now being identified as domestic terrorists. I'm sure that will not lead to unity.
Thank you very much for your comments about the piece. I respect you and the differences we have. I appreciate the fact you took time to read, comment, and award me six stars for the writing. I am very grateful, and honored by your choice.
