Death Around The Corner by John Cole

Excellent

Death, the thief who steals our final breath. A thief to some, and angel to others.
I really like this poem because it touches several points about death. Why it can be hard, what it brings. We humans hold onto this life life it's our lifeline. But...that's just it, we all meet our end. Like you said: Death is lurking, until the very end (very good line, by the way)
I think a lot of people are scared of death and leaving this world that is far from perfect. Sometimes I find myself falling into that trap of not wanting to leave this world and earthly possessions. But thats it, I believe we're all given the chance to have life after death, to have a life so much richer than this.
Face death as you will, I suppose.
As always, flawless, well written poem.

This is a really touching poem/story! I've always thought a Christmas wedding would be really cool. Your story you added with the poem made it all the better. Small poems like this are hard to write, but in such short words, you painted a picture/message.
I really like this, good job & good luck!

Christmas Is: by equestrik

Equestrik, this truly, and honestly, is a amazing. It's so light and gentle, but at the same time the words make you think and really ponder Christmas and what it should remind us of. I love how you write you poems, and the meanings you insert in them. You've, in a clever way, of pointed several things out that make Christmas, well, Christmas. But then you come to a nice conclusion, that made me smile because it is a reminder everyone can use.
Beautifully written,

Lifeless Wandering by John Cole

'Interpret as you will,' Oh joy! Just reading this poem once, I'm hit with so many feelings. There seem to be many layers in this poem, even if it was unconditional. While reading it, I saw this place you were describing in my mind.
But you wrote it in such a way, any reader could somehow connect with it. I saw a lone girl atop a mountain, crying out, in pain, in sorrow...in that, I saw that life is a journey, and no one knows where it will take us, or what it will bring us.
Will we sit and wallow in our sorrows? Or will we pick ourselves up and continue up that mountain? For "-life is impermanent, so too are the ages of man." It is...we all come to an end someday. How we face it...I suppose it's up to yourself.
I really liked this, and it has really made me stop and think.

Patty, this is once again a wonderfully written piece! This is my second time reading about these two lovely/crazy women, and I'm hooked! The way you write is so enjoyable, and I found myself captured from the start. I also love the little details you insert that brightens the story up.
Wonderful job!

Rick, this truly an excellent poem. There is so much joy and peace in it, it made me smile. It's also very encouraging for many reasons. Most of all, you point out that Jesus is always there for us, and out of them all, that is the most comforting to hear. The poem itself is very well written, and I throughly enjoyed it.

Haunting Path by John Cole

This is a really emotional poem. I can feel the sadness in it, the feeling of being impossibly alone & lost. But as you write this story weaved into a poem, it starts to fall away and the conclusion is beautiful. Home. I believe everyone finds their home in different things. Nevertheless, home can often take away feelings that seemed to be shackled to us forever. This is a very well written poem John.

..Okay...I have literally asked this same question! Is it? Who knows!
This is a very, very clever write and it made me smile because really this is all rather absurd! Your picture you chose is wonderful, and it really brings your poem out. Wonderful write again!

This is GREAT! It reminds me of my friend and I in fifty years!
I love how you wrote this fun story. You're very descriptive in a subtle way that makes it all appear before your readers eyes. I could see everything, and I loved it! Myrtle and Mildred are wonderfully crafted characters and I enjoyed the story a ton! This is truly an excellent piece, and I'm glad I got to read it.

Wow. Simply wow.
You've written a powerful poem, with a very, very valid point. They are trying to strip us of our freedom and push us into the start of socialism. If they can control us in means of wearing masks, in our own HOMES, then what else will they force onto us? What will be next? Will we even be able to live our own lives? It's all very crazy. Which you've proven in a very well written poem. Great job, wonderful poem with a very strong message.
I wish you the best of luck in this contest,
