A beautiful poem of hope to be sure Roy. We certainly live in uncertain times and your poem "A Candle Flickers" gives positive reinforcement to His message. Truly - rejoicing comes in the morning..
Well done my friend.
Words of wisdom, well written, shining hope during these difficult times. The author's notes also add to the message of hope. Evi
The poem written here holds a shining light to brighten the darkness of our days. "All good things come to those who wait." We know from past experiences (none like this) that we will see the light at the end of the tunnel. So the more we hope and pray, we will succeed. In this instance, we need "the patience of Job." :)Ralf
It really is a scary time that we're living in right now, but I still try and live every day to its fullest. I think it'll be a while before the world gets back to normal, but I'm sure it will, and hopefully it'll be sooner than we think. I thought this was really well written and it flowed well.
I'm not sure what your poem is about. By your notes, I think you are saying that God is your best friend. It's great that you have such an intimate relationship with God. Well done.
I believe that the life lived for self alone is a lonely life indeed. We were made to be imitators of Christ as dear children. If we imitate Him, then, we definitely won't live for ourselves. Jesus only did the will of His Father putting himself aside. We must do the same and drink the cup as He did. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!
I really like this. It speaks of dancing and praising the King of Kings. I know that the children would really get into this praise. I think that many adults hold themselves back in this area, grieving the Holy Spirit. We are all children in His sight. David danced with all of His might before the Lord, unashamed. I like to get my praise on shouting and dancing before the Lord. We can watch our favorite football team and shout and dance around. How much more should we shout and dance before the King and Lord of all? Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!
I agree my friend, one must never despair and keep the faith; indeed, these are trying times, but with trouble, there is always ease and that's is God's promise; thank you for sharing this uplifting, beautifully composed verse.
I do understand. I have friends that I feel I can count on, and of course my husband, but truthfully the only one we can truly count on it God. You are correct, he will 'Never leave or forsake us.' Again, thank you for sharing.
I nursed my babies, but I have never seen it again. It is the most wonderful spiritual thing. A mother certainly knows she is blessed and there is a God at that moment. The flower growing thru a rock or pavement is another sign of hope. I saw a tree growing from a rock once. I assume it started in a crack and split the rock as it grew. Isn't life wonderful? Well written poem of hope for a better tomorrow. Warmest regards, Nancy:)
