Ringo is a lawyer full time within the anti-trust division in Malta. His love for languages and philosophy has been recognized from a very young age. He boasts of Catholic education particularly Jesuit education. He is building a sizeable anthology in Maltese (which is his native language because he lives and is born in Malta) with the hope that it will be published in Malta. It may be that over time he will conduct translation of his best poems in Maltese. He is an avid reader and read a wide variety of literary styles and genres in three languages Maltese, Italian and English. He studies as a hobby Classic Latin, and he sometimes tries to read classic Graeco-Roman literature. He used to study theology and sometimes certain poetry reveals this!

He is inspired by poets like Keats, Shelley, Yeats, Milton and Garcia Lorca.
Authors that inspire him particularly are Oscar Wilde, Huxley, Milan Kundera, Graham Greene, and sometimes Morris West. However, other authors that did leave a mark in his studies and writing techniques are Boris Pasternak, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, the Brontes and Charles Dickens.
Ringo is currently studying the genres of modern accomplished authors such as Frank Mc Court and Malouf.

His favourite Philosophers are Nietzsche and Emmanuel Kant. From the scholastics he has a great love for St. Thomas Aquinas.

His favourite branch of theology, is the theology of liberation.

However, when concerned with scriptural studies he nurtured a great love for psalms. The favourite part of the bible is the Song of Songs.
