Lark is a baby-boomer, born and raised in the desert Southwest. She has 20 years teaching experience in the elementary grades, and retired from full-time duties in the mid-90's. She'd like to believe the adage, "All first grade teachers go to heaven" holds true.
She is passionate about the reading-writing connection, and has an ongoing interest in literacy for both children and adults. Words, well-penned, in literature, verse, as precise dialog in a script, or set to music, are a never-ending source of fascination, pleasure and inspiration.
Music, she believes, is the universal language; she appreciates everything from Classical to Classic Rock, with great regard for the creative talents of singer-songwriters.
With few exceptions, Lark sees beauty wherever her eyes fall. She is open-minded, accepting, loyal, young-at-heart, witty, and rarely takes anything for granted.
Before finding FS in 2005, her writing filled not pages, but rather, the corners of her mind. Across time on the site, she has made wonderful friends and gained skill and confidence to pen her thoughts "in spiritu et veritate" (in spirit and truth), while continuing to learn and grow as a writer.
She thanks everyone who has been a part of the journey; Happy, Happy 2017, one and all. |
