INFORMATION
To be or not to be that is the question. So what's the answer. Singers must sing. Painters must paint and writers must write. This is what lancellot has always been inside a writer. On the outside he was a state corrrectional officer, who spent eight hours a day with the worst of society. Now he is a counselor to those same inmates. The other time he spends with his 16 year old son and his wife.
Lancellot has always been a fan of good fiction, ranging from Sci-fi to Mystery thrillers. He has learned a number of things in his 40 years and works hard to incorporate them into his works.

lancellot: Is FanStory mostly Liberal, Conservative or is it non-biased?

If you question a perceived bias, how fast will Tom or his people come down on you with a: Final warning? Even though they never give a first warning or tell you 'explicitly' what you are not allowed to talk about?

Have you noticed a bias or a favorite member from the contest committee?

January 6 at 9:34AM
Jannypan (Jan) : sour grapes? That's ok. Sometimes it helps to wine.
    January 6 at 9:52AM
lancellot: Sometimes it does. Sometimes you feel someone is watching you, and sometimes... they are. Thanks for avoiding the question.
    January 6 at 10:06AM
michaelcahill: Conservative/Liberal probably will get the same answer from both sides. LOL
I think there's a bias towards the staid and true. I'd be shocked to see one of your more erotic pieces win a site contest no matter how exceptionally written it was. I know my more rambling "out there" free verse isn't considered no matter how well received.
    So, yes, that's a bias I believe.
I'm not sure that individuals are favoured though there may be individuals that fit the mold better than others. Yes, that's bias too I would say.
I do know how to write something more favorable to my perception of what the site looks for, so I do see a bias or I wouldn't have that mindset.

lancellot: Thanks, Michael. You are a great writer. Good luck to you.

I hope to see your work in the bookstores in the future.

    take care.
