Ainsley_Jo_Phillips spit out all pacifiers given to her as a baby--an early sign of her desire to express herself verbally without being held back, perhaps!?! Who knows!?!

Some of her earliest "literary masterpieces" were in the "horror genre"--so to speak...At around the age of four, she would visit her cousins in Kentucky, and they enjoyed going out in the evening to collect "lightning bugs" in a jar that would be closed using a lid in which small holes had been punched.

This jar would become a flickering lantern for the four of them to sit around in a dark bedroom while telling "spook tales" that were more fun than scary.

Before they retired for the night, they would release their catch so that all of the lightning bugs could go home to their own Mommies and Daddies.

This writer sees herself as growing up in a great time and being blessed with wonderful parents.

She was born on December 12, 1952.

President Truman was still in the White House at the time, though not for long, and most of her first eight years were spent liking Ike.

Some of her earliest rock-n-roll songs were on 78 rpms--many of which managed to survive being in the hands of a preschooler/early-grader. Hound Dog/Don't Be Cruel by Elvis Presley didn't survive, but Blue Suede Shoes by Carl Perkins did, for example. In the country line, Jim Reeves' Bimbo didn't survive in its 78 rpm form but is still in her record collection on a 45 rpm. She misses the Gypsy Heart flip-side that was on the 78 rpm version to this day.

She grew up with the original Captain Kangaroo & Romper Room School and owned about a zillion Slinkys and Hula-Hoops.

She was in fifth grade during the assassination of President Kennedy and the arrival of The Beatles and had just graduated from eighth grade the summer the hippie movement really came into being out in the Haight Asbury area of San Francisco.

Although she never chose the drug and promiscuity route engaged in by several of the latter, she was--and still is--a flower child, believing in and practicing the best parts of this lifestyle.

But, no matter what the current trends, one thing that never changes with her is how she makes her various decisions: based on her personal understanding of serving Jesus! She doesn't claim to be perfect at this (Who is!?!) and likes to use the term Christian-Under-Construction to describe herself.

Although she came close a few times, she has never married--but definitely doesn't rule out the possibility for sometime in the future.

She's been in love in real life several times but in love online only once--and once was enough for her!

We interrupt this profile--written in March of 2006--to bring you a special report!

The person being profiled here has found out that once really ISN'T enough but that twice very likely IS...and the story is still being written! You will find signs of this as time goes by in some of her writings here!

The Internet wasn't even part of her life until she was almost 46 years old--but you wouldn't suspect this now.

What else can be said about Ainsley_Jo_Phillips?

However, the best way to learn more is to do what she would like as many people as possible to do: Read her!

Warning: Eccentric Hoosier Writer On Board! She's in love & his name is Russell!

It's now September 9, 2012 as I'm updating this profile...

Russell and I are no longer an item, but he'll always hold a very special place in my heart and will, likely, be mentioned on several occasions in the diary I've now started to put together here at FanStory.

The last few years have been a very challenging time for me in several ways, but, with God's help, I've managed to make it through each storm so far and am still standing...
It's now the beginning of The Ides Of March here in the year of our Lord (2017).

I notice that the last update I made was on September 9, 2012. I had no idea then that, exactly a year later, I would join the ranks of The Homeless nor that my mom would pass away under what I would describe as suspicious circumstances not even five months before that.

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I'm no longer homeless and haven't been since 2014 -- unless you're counting less than half a day between when I turned in the key to my apartment in Muncie and signed the lease for my current apartment back in my hometown of Anderson.

My life has far too many twists and turns to be captured completely in this sketch of me on my profile, so I'm going to invite you to learn more about me from both what I share here and from what I share elsewhere.

Paul's a wonderful writer and a very sweet and caring person! He needs to get his computer fixed and join us here. You'd really like him!
