Eternal Muse, a former pen name "yeltel," is of an Eastern European descent who values her classic poetic heritage and prefers writing rhymed verse. Her interests include history, philosophy, literature, piano, theater, film, photography, and of course - poetry! She is a romantic and idealist by nature which is shown in her poetry.
I am happy to be here and to meet all of you! I value your reviews and love reading your work. Let our journey ahead be a propitious one.

Father Flaps: We're glad to have you back, Eternal Muse. I didn't recognize the name, but I do recall "yeltel". You've been a member since 2006, 4 years longer than me. I hope we run into each other in the halls of Fanstory.

Susanne M. Psyris: Yelena...slight confusion on my part. I wanted to be sure I was getting it right, but according to this I am not? "An advanced form of crown of sonnets is also called a sonnet redoublé or heroic crown, comprising fifteen sonnets, in which the sonnets are linked as described above, but the final binding sonnet is made up of all the first lines of the preceding fourteen, in order." Courtesy of Wikkipedia. Help, please!!!

Eternal Muse: Dearest Susanne,
It is possible that there are variations to the crown of sonnets. I took the reigns for this contest 5 years ago from another poet who since left this site. This is the way this contest was presented, and I fell in love with the form. The original version was tougher, no repeat rhymes were allowed except for the linking of sonnets. It was very difficult to accomplish, and after the first year I took off that rule.
So, now, the rules of OUR Crown of Heroic Sonnets are:
The Crown of heroic sonnets is a sequence of seven heroic sonnets usually addressed to one person. It is concerned with a single theme and each sonnet explores a different aspect of the theme and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet.
The first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet thereby bringing the sequence to a close.
Looking forward for your entry, Susanne.
