I think sharing poetry with one another, reading poetry out loud and writing poetry helps us come from the heart. And One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes.

I am excited for the new year that is coming. My son is visiting and we are enjoying a beautiful day with sea breezes. Breakfast was homemade pumpkin scones. We are off to do some hiking.

I just finished reading "In Patagonia" by Bruce Chatwin. Quite an interesting read. He is fascinated by people and their story. He walks across the landscape until he finds a story. He finds one wild story after another. He is interested in the wanderers of the world, the restless and the travelled. He encounters origins of the Ancient Mariner, Darwin's theory of evolution, rebels and the many hardships of the people that lived In Patagonia.

Hello I have been away for awhile but I am back. I try and write everyday. I love to do yoga in the morning and then open my notebook and write and then its time to start the day. What is your routine? How much time do you get to write each day?

I am sitting here writing and reviewing and I am listening to the sea coming up against the shore and crash over rocks and the moon is full. The sky is incredible.

The seashore is a sort of advantageous point to which to contemplate this world. The waves forever rolling to the land are too far-traveled and untamable to be familiar. We do not associate the idea of antiquity with the ocean, nor wonder how it looked a thousand years ago...for it is equally wild and unfathomable always...The ocean is wilderness reaching around the globe.

Pablo Neruda : POETRY And it was at that age...Poetry arrived in search of me. I don't know, I don't know where it came from, from winter or a river. I don't know how or when, no, they were not voices, they were not words, nor silence, but from a street I was summoned, from the branches of night, abruptly from the others, among violent fires or returning alone, there I was without a face and it touched me. I did not know what to say, my mouth had no way with names my eyes were blind, and something started in my soul, fever or forgotten wings, and I made my own way, deciphering that fire and I wrote the first faint line, faint, without substance, pure nonsense, pure wisdom of someone who knows nothing, and suddenly I saw the heavens unfastened and open, planets, palpitating plantations, shadow perforated, riddled with arrows, fire and flowers, the winding night, the universe. And I, infinitesimal being, drunk with the great starry void, likeness, image of mystery, I felt myself a pure part of the abyss, I wheeled with the stars, my heart broke loose on the wind. Pablo Neruda

I want to thank everyone that has been taking the time to review my poems and send comments. Its been much appreciated and I am sure will help me write better. I also have learned from all the writings and poetry everyone has shared on this site. I am noticing more and more what makes interesting writing and how many different forms there are. Thank you so much!
