Here is the latest picture of Permelia with her husband Jack, (known on fanstory as Holliste).They have been married 50 years.
She is young at heart and soul if not of body. She was an airplane mechanic during the Korean War. She and her husband, Holliste owned Caprine Echoes and raised Nubian goats, and organic food. They owned and operated three real estate offices, where Holliste was the Broker and Permelia was a real estate saleswoman, office manager and in charge of Property Management. She was a production controller for the army when she was injured on the job, an injury which caused her to be retired. She is an active Christian and walks closely with Jesus.
In the last 5 years she has had poems and short stories published in regional publications,& a national Magazine. Two of her stories have been included in Joan Wester Anderson's newest anthology on Angels, titled "In the Arms of Angels". She is a loving grandmother of many, great grandmother, and now gggrandmother of seven.
She is enjoying her time on fanstory and her poem, "The Dichotomy of Mother Love", won poem of the month in August 2004, and her story "The Debacle of Operation Gallant Eagle" won Story of the Month in 2004 as well. In January 2005 she had a short story published in the International publication Review & Herald. She also won story of the month for two of her stories, "Johnny's Shadow", in 2004, and in May 2005, for "Me Mama."
In October of 2005, she won author of the month for her story "Chicago." In December, 2005 she won author of the month for her story, "The Pakistani Woman." |
