I guess it is time for a new profile. What I want to say is that I have found some of the most talented and helpful people on this site and instead of telling you all kinds of boring stuff about me, I want to thank all of you for being the wonderful friends and incredible writers that you are. Everyone has been generous with their time and has helped me in this craft more than I can ever say. Thank you and blessings to all of you, Roberta

    October 25, 2010 at 3:45PM
RKagan: I can't thank you enough, my friend, for the wonderful words and the awesome encouragement.
    October 26, 2010 at 5:55AM

RKagan: I dropped out of high school in the middle of my freshman year, so I'm afraid that my grammer is not what it should be. However, I am compelled to write. I have written five novels, and a book of short stories. I write historical fiction for the most part, but not entirely. I love cats and chimpanzees. And I have no idea what else to say about myself....so thank you for visiting my profile. I hope that you enjoy my work.
July 5, 2010 at 2:32PM
wordcrafter: You mean to tell me that you dropped out of high school in the middle of your freshman year, and you've already written five novels? Congratulations on beating the odds to become that prolific!

Keep working on your grammar, syntax and sentence structure. The best way to do that, in my opinion, is to read people who excel at these things, like William Styron or E. B. White (Charlotte's Web, among others). And keep going for your dream!
    July 22, 2010 at 2:58PM
RKagan: Thank you so much for the wonderful and encouraging words. It is kind of you to take the time to read my profile

denicegarrou: Hi, thank you so much for using my art! I am honored! I am half Bohemian Gypsy and a Schuvani! I have read your beginning story and love it. Thank You again! Denice
    July 27, 2010 at 11:01AM
RKagan: Hi Denice, My father was Romany. He was born in the states, but my grandma was from Romania. Your picture was perfect. You are an amazing artist. thank you.
    July 29, 2010 at 7:42AM
RKagan: Gosh,I guess I didn't make that very clear. My grandmother was born in Romania but...they were Romany gypsies who traveled all over Europe. I guess the way I wrote that was kind of confussing.
    July 29, 2010 at 3:55PM
Isaiah Ramesses: Creative Writing and/or education does not make a writer, it makes an editor: which, to my knowledge, rarely become great writers. Storytelling is a talent that one is born with--editors only upgrade your grammar skills. You're an artist, RKagan.
    July 29, 2010 at 10:02PM
Kentucky Sweet Pea: I think you do and have done very well. Education is education whether or not you get in the barn loft or in the classroom. I'm proud of you.

Sasha: I flunked out of English in both Jr. High and High School. My teacher told me I was the worst writer in the school. This site is great for help with grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I cannot tell you how much I have learned from the other writers on this site. I am sure you will do just fine.
    August 19, 2010 at 8:18PM
Isaiah Ramesses: Hello RK. Hope everything is fine. PM me sometime.
    August 21, 2010 at 5:26AM
ulster3: Hi RKagan. J.D. Salinger flunked out of Ursinus College and failed English. He got 99 rejection slips before Catcher in The Rye was published, and now it's a classic taught in all schools. That is not to discourage you from learning to watch your grammer, but to encourage you in your exceptional ability to tell a story.
    August 24, 2010 at 3:05PM
RKagan: Wow, you flatter me and I am truly humbled. I cannot thank you enough for the kind words.
    August 25, 2010 at 2:54PM
Ailo: Lol, no worries. I went back to college after 10 years since I graduated highschool and I still have bad grammar...my English professors are going to kill me if I don't pick it up soon :)
    August 25, 2010 at 7:24PM
RKagan: I couldn't imagine going back to school now, although I think it might be a good idea.
    September 10, 2010 at 6:25PM
RKagan: I've been thinking all day about new ideas for a possible story/novel. I never know how long it will be until I write it. I am just not sure which one to work with. Feeling a little lost
    September 10, 2010 at 6:27PM
irsajay: Get back to the brass tack. You are wonderful writer with all vivid imagination. You know the story. Only it's to be told.
    September 13, 2010 at 3:16AM
RKagan: Hi guys, I have entered a contest with Ziguene Chovinhani, gypsy witch. It is on Authorstand. I would be so grateful if you guys took a look at the contest. Please vote, but only vote for me if you think I deserve it. Thanks.

LYLE: I had to laugh at the reply of KY Sweet Pea. Only she would come up with being educated in a barn loft:)
    September 22, 2010 at 12:26PM
RKagan: All of you guys are so awesome. I loved Sweetpea's comment!
    September 23, 2010 at 8:55PM

Fritz-Lorenz: For writing skill(in proper everything) as well as great stories you can't put down, try
Martha Grimes. She is an English prof too, so she knows! -And does.
    Friend, Fritz-Lorenz
    November 16, 2010 at 9:37PM
    Fritz-Lorenz: Dear RK,
I have an impulse, or perhaps it stems from a dream, to converse with you somewhat privately, about heritage. Nothing illicit, but why I am in here, and whom you are, and possibly the reason I came across you as Romany.
I'm not certain how to accomplish this, or whether I should include
any others in my thought revelation. Yet, you as Romany, may be one of few, or even any
    others to "comprehend".
    November 17, 2010 at 12:14PM
RKagan: I would be happy to talk with you.
    November 17, 2010 at 4:03PM
Alf Garnett jnr.: Hi RKagan. Just to inform you, I
have since left the site. Take care
    from, (Alf jnr).

    louparis: Dear RK,
Higher education doesn't always translate to success in the things that build character and honor in life. Keep plugging,or as we say in America, keep on truckin.
    Lou Paris

RKagan: Thanks so very much, Lou, for caring enough to write this beautiful message on my wall. Happy HOlidays to you, my friend.
