Steve427:
I am a recent graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature. In the middle of the course I got sidetracked when I discovered rhyming poetry. I seem to have a real knack for it, probably because I've written a lot of songs over the years. I've had four poems and one short story accepted for publication. I especially enjoy writing children's poetry and rhyming stories.

Steve427: My wonderful friends at Fanstory,
I've only been on the site for 6 weeks, but unfortunately, I have to say goodbye. I want to pursue the children's market. I need to read, write, improve my craft and do market research. I need to spend time with my family. I'm a UPS Driver and I don't get home until 8 to 8:30. There is just not enough time in the day for all these things plus Fanstory.
I've had so much fun and I've made some good friends in this short period of time. I'll miss my buddy from down under. I hope you crack the top 10 soon, Jester. Robin Moynihan, you may be the only children's writer left. I wish you well. I'll miss reading poems from adewpearl, missmerri, Warren Rodgers and so many others.
I've had great feedback and advice and I've learned a lot. Most importantly, I've learned that I need to use my writing to help and encourage young people to know the Lord. That thought came to me when I read works from Bryan(inhisownwrite), Christina Dufek, Sweetwoodjax, samandlancelot, SuzieQ and others. I thank them for their inspirational writing and for their desire to live for Christ. I'll continue to write cute rhyming stories, but my main thrust will be writing for the Lord, since He is my life.
Again, I thank you all. I hope to see you out there in print.
Steve

closetpoetjester: Wow what an epic good bye my friend and as I said, thankyou so much for reading me with such an open mind. I promise I will crack the top 10 just for you. May God be with you my friend. Now spread your wings and fly and go write to encourage children to follow their Faith.
Sincerely Phillippa xoxoxo

InHisownwrite: Steve, I will miss you on site, but the rest of the world will soon be able to read the words your Father gives you... I really believe that, so believe it in yourself.... There is so much more up there and in your heart, and there is no one else better to help it flow forth... I wish you God's BIGGEST blessings... And, I'll be looking for your name on the book shelves... In Christ, Bryan
