Since retiring from nursing and teaching health subjects, I started looking at the world of creative writing: since that moment, I've never stopped (writing, that is!) I've had stories and articles published online and my work has been retained by the small press magazine, Debut and the quarterly periodical, 'This England'.I'm also proud to be part of the Flash Fiction Chronicles community.

I live with my husband, son and two gorgeous cats on the North-East coast of England - a beautiful part of the country and the world, despite the rain and the snow (brrrr!) - and I go walking along the coastline and around nearby Northumberland National Park regularly. I have been commissioned to write travelogues and articles by 2 local hoteliers and one gite owner in the South of France. Lucky me!
I have a Linked-in writing buddy and of course, my heart belongs to Fan Story!

Long time no see folks. Sorry about that. I had my sister over to England from Oz and we went a-travellin' (hey nonny no) all over beautiful England, catching up with our roots - and France and Corfu Island (Greece) What a fantastic time we had - and now I'M BACK AND TRYING HARD TO CATCH UP!! Bear with me all of you who need reviews. I'll get there - honest I will!

Hi again everyone. Just returned from a long weekend in amazing BARCELONA. We trekked the Gaudi trail. Anyone interested in a bit of culture should go and see all of Gaudi's designs - not least of all the Sagrada Familia. WOW!

| sunny39: Oh, Shelia - a long weekend in Barcelona. How wonderful! It's been so long since I got to go anywhere (my husband hasn't walked in over 5 years now, so I'm pretty much stuck at home with him). But, I'm always so thrilled when I know a friend has taken such a grand trip as this. So happy for you.
