    CD Richards: Random. placement of punctuation can. also. Make for an, interesting experience on the part of the reader no need to, be bound by. convention. I wish my. readers understood, this.

    mrsmajor: It's something that's common in my work.. I do it often.. like EECummings, who certainly knew the correct/established ways, for his purpose he did what he thought served his piece of work..Of course I'm not comparing myself to EECummings, but that's how to learn...from the very best writers of long ago...he's just a favorite of mine..

    CD Richards: Cummings wrote some great stuff. Some of his ideas and analogies are wonderful. Sure, rules are made to be broken, but in my opinion (and it's only my opinion), unusual punctuation, use (or not) of capitalisation, etc., have the most effect when used sparingly. Overused, and the point, for me at least, becomes lost. Rules exist for reasons other than to be broken, too. Just my perspective, I don't mean to cause offence.

    mrsmajor: Offense! of course not, I'm not in a positions to speak for anyone but myself, and surely not for writers of Prose..(stories essays, and the like)...I certainly realize, as a teacher, the proper use of punctuation, word usage and yes ability, is important whenever one picks up their pen...No doubt, even during his time EECummings was considered an a Poetry writer...When it comes down to it, writers must follow their own minds, in order to be called a true writer...independent of what others may think...perhaps that's why I'm not among those that are considered serious writers here., after all I'm just an old lady...LOL...

QC Poet: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:14‭-‬16 KJV

QC Poet: A Verse of the Day - (YouVersion)
John 1:12 KJV;
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

    Tootie: I want to thank you for sharing this because, although I've read this scripture many times, today its meaning became much clearer to me. To be a "Son of God" I now understand as to walk this life as a bearer of the knowledge of the truth and share the good news with others, as Christ did. The Son of God! Before, I read it as only becoming a receiver of this gift. What an enlightenment! Bless you!
