Kimberly (ylrebmik is Kimberly backwards)doesn't have a clue what she is doing and doesn't really care. It just feels good to write and that is all that matters. Reading and writing are another art form and it allows her paint pictures she couldn't with the limits of paint and brush. The hope is to better understand and to be better understood.

ylrebmikamsedel1: I have been trying to break out of my comfort zone and write things that I normally wouldn't. I find the writing prompts and contests to be a great way to challenge myself. Sometimes it works and other times I miss the mark entirely! But that is where we learn the most, right? It's the failures and falling shorts that teach us the most. Thank you to everyone here at the site for assisting in this process. It is invaluable to have honest feedback and critique from people who actually have a clue what they are talking about! It is also very evident that you all know how it feels to put your work out there for others to read because you are very kind in your handling of these small pieces of self I post. Thank you for the correction and the encouragement. Love and light to all! XO

ylrebmikamsedel1: Recently, I have been encouraged to write a book. This endeavor scares the crap out of me as I have never really attempted to write anything larger than a few pages long. I am unsure as to exactly why it frightens me to the point of shutting me down but I am going to face this fear down and conquer it! I give this website and the support of its members the credit for giving me the confidence to begin this momentous task. Thank you!

ylrebmikamsedel1: Wow! How long do I have to belong to a site before I learn enough about it to use it propperly? Not exactly sure how to answer that. OK, so I'm a little slow. I have used the site to post things I've felt inspired on the spot to write. Occasionaly, something like a prompt or a contest will strike a chord and I will enter but for the most part I haven't really got the hang of this! I'd like to learn to reach out more and connect with others. If anyone has any advice or personal experiences as to how this site has helped them or how to use it more efficiently, I'm open to hearing your views. Thanks!!

ylrebmikamsedel1: This is my art. Writing, for me, is like painting but with words. I love how words work together in a team to become greater than themselves alone. There is no limitation to words. They are adaptable to any situation, any emotion for all people. They are always available and free and I can use as many or as few as I want to express an idea or thought. They can wound or heal. They can praise or criticize. They are the most amazing things I've ever encountered. Thank you, to those who have commented on my works, for pausing to recognize a fellow creative thinker's attempt to express their undying affection for these tiny little blobs of ink on paper which can unlock the universe for us all or not. They can be mighty and powerfull or they can make us laugh. They have the ability to bring us to our knees or raise us up on a pedestal. They can be everything or nothing, these words we use. What a great priviledge and responsibility we have taken on by writing. Its truly a thrill and an honor. Thank you!

ylrebmikamsedel1: . . . .and-ah one and-ah two and-ah one two three four!. . . .On your marks, get set, . . . GO!. . . .and they're off!. . . .Here goes nothing!. . . . GERRR-OOONNNIIII-MMOOOOO!. . . .shall we begin?

We all have to start somewhere, right? Here is where I begin to share my secret hobby. For an extrovert, I certainly have managed to keep this side of me private well. It seems very risky to me to be asking for other's opinions of my fevered midnight ramblings. It is forcing me to actually read them myself and check for proper spelling and whether or not I bothered to punctuate or make sense. I have a habit of throwing things on a page just to clear the clutter in my head and therefore don't always ensure their clarity. I am not so sensitive that any critique will alter my path in this life nor will it silence my voice. I do, however, hope that I will be treated as other's wish to be treated themselves. Mostly I hope to get honest reactions to the things I post. I write, as do many, in many different styles and formats about anything and everything and sometimes even nothing. I am intrigued by this whole idea. So, what are we waiting for? . . . .Engage!
