PhilipCatshill:
I hope that you enjoy my poems and short stories on this site, but please be aware that novels published under the name Philip Catshill deal with serious crime issues and are for ADULT READING ONLY.
Philip Catshill is a former British police officer. He has had several unique life experiences, near death encounters and emotional incidents that have combined to provide a foundation for his stories.
After an accidental blow to his head, at 30, he survived a massive stroke. To return to the job he loved proved to be a daunting struggle that took 18 months. He survived 11 more years as a police sergeant. During this time, he stretched his mind to the limit by studying for a degree.
When his wife found her affection lay with a younger man, his 19 year marriage came to a devastating end. Through the loneliness of depression that followed, he was sustained by his faith.
A chance meeting brought him to a new love. Just 16 days after his second marriage, a road accident caused another stroke, bringing his working life to an abrupt end.
Determined to defy the paralysis, he took up music and art. His paintings (which can be seen on his website) have been described as quite simply breath-taking. http://www.philipcatshill.co.uk
Philip Catshill is the type of guy who never says, "I can't"
Philip adds:
I'm glad I don't harbour any ill feelings because I think hatred consumes you quicker and more effectively than cancer.
Life is for loving. We only have one crack at it and I am determined to enjoy every single minute of all that remains, and I can do that because when I was at my lowest and called out to God in despair, he was there!
Prayer works; prayer heals.
Life is wonderful. Live it. Enjoy it.

Saucey: I knew there was something beyond the call of duty different 'bout you and your writings. And yes, prayer does work. No sense in praying if you going to worry and no sense in worrying if you going to pray...lol

braham20191: Just bought the Kindle edition of Never Say I Can't. Looking forward to reading it. If Mud Sticks is anything to go by, this should be a good read.
