DIS-illusioned: 'Helped free', Ms. Tubman--helped free.
The other thousand KNEW they were slaves, Ms. Tubman, but just didn't want to take the risk of a lynching and hanging if your 'railroad' encountered some mechanical glitch.

Just wanted to share a funny joke from Joel Osteen... Everyone gather in the church for Sunday Service. Suddenly the devil appeared in the pull pit. Everyone took off running. There was one little lady that remained on the front pew. The devil said, "Are you ok?" She answered, "Yes." He asked, "Do you know who I am?" The lady replied, "Yes?" He said,"And you are not afraid?" She answered calmly, "No". The devil the asked, "Why?" She answered, "Because I have been married to you brother for 30 years!"

DIS-illusioned: Agreed--but it doesn't necessarily have to be the formal kind. (My uncle dropped out of 10th grade, and is now a millionaire. Go figure!)

CheyLGwriter: My grandpa wasn't a millionaire, but he had to drop out in the 3rd grade to help his family. He owned his own transportation service before he passed. He did quite well for himself. So I know what you mean.

Lady & Louis: A curious thought, really. I wonder in what sense she means the spirit should not be trained? Kind of funny given this is a workshop site where we're training our skills, if not our spirits. :)

DIS-illusioned: I completely disagree, Ms. Giovanni. For 'good' writing does indeed tame and train the human spirit--for 'the good' (otherwise, anome/chaos would be upon us).

I'm working on a my new blog. I'm turning my poems and short stories into videos. Lately my writings have been on current events, and some of the tragedies of this era. The rest are encouraging or personal. I call my blog facelessthoughts, because I know there are people are out there that share the same feeling that I have, so instead of putting my face to the blog, I called it faceless, because it represents a great number of people.
