vasquezsavage: I am leaving fanstory. I love this site and the opportunity it has given me to share my work and follow the work of others who share the same passion for writing. Thanx to those who followed my work and know for those I followed; it was a great joy to read and follow your work as well. I no longer have the time to spend on here and will miss following others work and sharing my own on here. Fanstory is a great site and it has been a most wonderful experience. Thanx to all of you and God bless each one of you. vs/ron,

vasquezsavage: I will be moving back to God's Country on Monday night. Where is God's country you might ask! What a stupid question; it is "Oklahoma" of course. lol! I will not be reading or posting for a while so everyone forgive me. I will try to catch up on my reading when me and momma settle in. Pray for us as it is a journey of faith! vs/ron,

Anisa-: Haha. Too funny... That exact question popped into my head! Oklahoma, hey? I work with a few people from there.

vasquezsavage: I love this site. Being able to post my writings and get honest feedback from people you respect is invaluable. That is why we all post on here; at least it should be! It is easy to caught up in stars and ratings, how many fans you have, and how many views you get on a piece; but I keep reminding my self that I do it to learn and get better. Whether you have been writing for 50 yrs. or 50 days; we all should want to grow and rate/review each piece regardless of the experience of the writer, how high they are on the ratings, or our own biasis and beliefs. Reviewing should be taken seriously. We are reviewing someones creation and whether we like it or not, think it is good or not, or disagree with the message; we should treat it as a valuable piece created with much labor pains and like it is our child. All should read and know well the reviewing guidelines so well written by fanstory.com. If we review, we should take the time to know how to do it. I hate to review another's work. I fear disrespecting their creation and fear my own beliefs and biasis will color my ratings. I want to encourage and be helpful. I also want to give an honest review done with respect. I see many who will give a piece three stars and give no reason for it and give no helpful advice. Many will use the review to only share their own views or espouse some beliefs. Others will tell you what they don't like and give nothing positive. Take the time to read fanstory.com's advice on how to review, treat each piece with respect as the creation that it is, and finally please give positive and negative thoughts and give examples. I am learning how to review. I hope others will to. vs,

Reddy Rimer: I'm glad I saw this post because I agree completely. I tread lightly when reviewing...I hate to make anyone feel bad. Yet, the reviews and suggestions have been very helpful for me. If I think a poem is just poor throughout, I skip it.
Another thing I find is, when I think a poem is not too good, I read it over a few times and sometimes see it from a new perspective.
I'm glad for FanStory for all I'm learning here, and for a few who I feel are good friends already!

vasquezsavage: Thanx for sharing "Reddy Rimer". I have met two really good friends on here and you quickly becoming someone I value as a reviewer and someone I thoroughly enjoy reading. You certainly reveiw with respect and always give clear and helpful advice. Too many though just give you a 2 or a 3 while they are telling you how good it is. Quite confusing. We all write bad pieces. One day your the best thing since sliced bread and the next day you have no talent. It is a journey with all its ups and downs. It is a fun ride though. Thanx for being a friend. I consider you one. Keep the pencils sharp and the paper "green"; and may all your poems be gems. I don't know about you, but my trash can is full of gems; I thought! lol. vs/ron,

vasquezsavage: I just want to take this opportunity to thank all those artists who have contributed their artwork to my poetry on this site. It has been suggested that I am the only one who doesn't write thank you's in my notes for their work. I guess I should known to do this, but it never crossed my mind. I apologize to all those artists whose work I have used and thank you for the beautiful work you have done and to let you know how your work has added so much to mine. I truly appreciate it and will try to remember to mention each one of you in my notes in the future. I guess everyone knows to do this, but me. It has been suggested this is a sign that I am ungrateful. I assure you that I am not and apologize for not doing this. The artist on fanstory are some of the best you will find. Their work I have found to be inspiring and professionally done. I never had a talent for art; always wish I did. I admire those who can create in this way. It is as important as the written word. It adds so much when chosen with care. I wish I could list you all here, but I have used many artists. Thank you all!!! vs,

Reddy Rimer: It took me a few months to even realize that poets could borrow art from FanArtReview. I did notice the thank you's, but didn't have a clue for that long. I used one about a week ago and forgot to thank the artist. Oh, my, guess we're all human!
I've enjoyed browsing through the beautiful art, but I wish they were all rated, because I've come across some that were offensive.
It is a gift to be able to use the artists' work, as you say.

vasquezsavage: You are right about the content. I've only heard from two artist that I have used. Didn't know about the need to thank them. I should have I guess. The artwork is wonderful. vs,

vasquezsavage: Thanx to everyone who reviewed my book chapter "My Adoption" and wrote me such wonderful helpful tips and encouraging words of support despite its obvious need for improvement. Your words bless me and make me want to keep on writing and improving. It has now been recognized. It is my first piece I have posted to receive this status. I am truly humbled and grateful to all of you who read it and commented with such encouragement and the kind way you gave ways to improve it. May God truly bless you all for it. God is good! He is faithful! It is refreshing to see and hear people who care and want to encourage. Much thanx and much appreciation go out to all of you from me; God's humble servant! vs,
