Treischel: WoW! I was interviewed by Al Cole on his CBS Radio Program, "People of Distinction." It will air on October 9, 2019 at 8PM EST, 7PM Central, discussing my most recent book, Take Flight: The Sonnets. It airs on   Broadcasting Network through Apple Inc's iTunes Radio Network (under their News/Talk provision, featuring CBS Radio, Fox News, NPR, C-Span & BBC.) So that my associates can listen conveniently, the interview will be repeated until 11pm Eastern on that day.

Al Cole's and his talk show clients' interviews via Al's 24/7 Apple iTUNES BROADCAST STREAM at Al's Broadcast Station Page -

Attached is an MP3 copy of that interview:

Treischel: I am popping in intermittently, as I am pulling together my Animated Stills book, that I hope to have published by this Fall. Concurrently, any new poems that I post here are for then next book after that, which will be a book about poetic formats. So bear with me as come and go.
April 16, 2019 at 11:55AM
Pantygynt: And there is no one better qualified than you to write on the subject of formats. The best of luck with both projects.

Treischel: Hello, and Happy New Year to all my fellow Fanstorians.

I will be back on for a while again no,w as I'm working on my book of formats, trying to catch those that I needs to write a second example of. I'll likely also publish a book this year about Quatrains, the major poetic stanza, along with several variations on rhyme and Metre.

Hope to see all my old friends and looking forward to meeting new ones.

Treischel: Haven't been very active lately because lot's going on. Been posting on Youtube, am updating my blog and facebook page,. Most exciting of all, I finally published my 4th book, a book of Sonnets. Its 385 pages, containing 74 Sonnet variations, with 170 total Sonnets, and descriptions. The book is called Take Flight, The Sonnets and is listed on my profile at the bottom. All the poems were reviewed here first by my fans. Also, several Fanstory members are noted in the book for formats that they created: Jim Bartlett (Pantygynt), Stephen A Carter, Catherine Ginn (I Am Cat), Nancy E Davis, Jyoti. I also acknowledged helpful suggetions from Dean Kuch, Sandra Mitchell, Tony Fawcus, and Gungalo. I'lll now be busy with Book signings and interviews.

Treischel: I recently published my third book. My first two were published by Outskirt's Press and retailed for $53 and $59 in hardback each. My third one was published but LitFire Publishing and retails for $29.99 in hardcover and $17.99 in paperback. So I had the first two republished by LitFire at those same prices. I even got an author's website. Check it out at

Treischel: I am always perplexed by voting in the contests. The recently completed Embarrassing but True contest is another example. Two that won were among the least embarrassing of all the entrants. On a scale of 1-10 Embarrassment , they were about a 1. I mean come on, a bad date, and a misunderstood comment in a bar? How the Shag Carpet, the Fart, Paper Trails, or How Not to Make Friends didn't win is beyond me. Now those were 8-10 Embarrassments
September 3, 2015 at 10:36AM
michaelcahill: The contest didn't really ask for the MOST embarrassing but true situation, just embarrassing but true. There are a lot of factors that go into the voting. The quality of the writing for one. Just because something is horribly embarrassing doesn't necessarily mean it is funny or successfully written as funny. Who knows what voters think?
    September 4, 2015 at 12:52AM
Treischel: I agree that the writing presentation needs to be part of it, but in a contest about embarrassment, that has to be a major factor.

Treischel: Has anyone else been having trouble connecting or staying connected to this site lately. It is getting hard to comment. I had to come over to the classic site to post this.
August 26, 2015 at 11:22PM

Try clearing your cache. Sometimes that helps.
