Keturah Martin: Thanks for your prayers! Our lives are in jeopardy!
Today I have to go to the Police station to pick up a tracking device which they have ordered I wear/have as a means of protection against an intended assault via firearm which they have determined was intended for use on me.
The Lord is my ultimate Protection from the rage of my son.

Bicpen: Forgiveness to a Christian is a duty and not a right. I just wondered what your interpretation of forgiveness is within this concept.

We are told if not commanded to forgive our enemies ... how does that relate to someone who maybe forgiven by US but not by God: in other words say we forgive and the individual or individuals concerned do not repent of their particular sin against us and perish ... where does that leave our forgiveness ?

I just wondr because it seem that the concept is more built for our overcomming evil and living in peace with our soul though it may have been wronged. I believe in the concept to show mercy forgiveness and compassion on all but I reason it in the way that though we forgive and are displaying our Christian Spirit toward the individual or individuals it will only add to their judgement in Hell should they God Forbid land tere.

The scripture I interpret this from is the piece that tells us that by doing this we will be HEAPING COALS ON THEIR HEAD.

Keturah Martin: Choosing to forgive our abuser or anyone who has wronged us is following the teaching of Jesus and His example on the cross. In choosing to forgive and release the wrong-doer, does not make them right before a holy God, but it loosens the shackles of bitterness and control on our own lives and heart. To NOT FORGIVE is giving an open door to the enemy of our soul wherein he can wreak havoc and ensnare us in bitterness, malice, hatred and potential murder. I have experienced an unbounded freedom and joy when I choose to forgive and release all my abusers into the hand of God. The choice only closes the door on the devil's attempts and opens my heart to the love of Jesus while allowing me to view the perpetrators through the eyes of Jesus and see them as wounded individuals needing His divine love. I have a great longing that each one who hurt me will come to repentance and meet me in heaven.
Choosing to forgive opens potential prison doors and ensures that the enemy cannot shackle us in chains and unfathomed bondage. The offenders still must stand before God and be judged by Him if they don't repent, but I can be free to live, love and relate to others without bondage when I choose to forgive with God's help and leave all vengeance in His divine hand.
Aways remember too, that "God will forgive anyone who calls on Him and asks for it. 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
    God bless you my friend!

Keturah Martin: I have found that choosing to forgive is a joyful duty, which though it be hard and is impossible fully without the help of God, yet it is a blessed experience of freedom when followed through. I believe according to Jesus' words in Matthew 6 that if we want to be forgiven by God, we also must forgive those who wrong us, and as such it is a duty or requirement to obtain forgiveness ourselves.

Bicpen: I fully understand ... I have had to release my bondage of hatred by using forgiveness and it is a life saving mechanisim whereby The Saviour is able to break that bondage that you speak of.

The hardest part I found with forgiveness was the forgiving of myself for certain acts and actions perpetrated in my own life ... it was only through being forgiven that I was able to pertain this liberty

Keturah Martin: Today is the first page of a 365 page book. It is up to each individual to write a good book in these pages. It is even better to allow the Almighty to be the Author and we but the scribe.

Keturah Martin: When someone may treat you or your work unfairly because they are angry at God and the world, we must choose to forgive and release them into the hand of God who knows it all. The Lord sees the work written and our heart motive.
We must choose to look at the vehicle of unfair treatment through the eyes of Jesus' love.

Keturah Martin: Keturah C. Martin was born and raised at the foot of the Rockies in British Columbia, being the 6th in a large family of 9 children. She is a living example of a Divine preservation, wherein by human standards she would have been declared dead many times over had the Angel of God's Presence not stepped in to salvage her amid the ruins of unlimited abuse.
However, Keturah will be the first to proclaim to the entire world "I was a victim and by God's grace a survivor, but now Praise be to Jesus, I am a VICTOR! We must focus more on the beauty which God brings out of the ashes rather on the agents used to perpetrate evil on the innocent! There is hope for all!"
Jesus specializes in making beauty out of ashes as He binds up the broken-hearted! Praise God!
