INFORMATION
My first book of poems 'Perfectly Imperfect' is available for pre-order on the Kindle NOW. Paperback due out in around 8 weeks. My next book, 'Curiouser and Curiouser', should be out late December with a February print. I often rhyme with crazy schemes. This is my own invention. I call it 'Flasé dah.'...A mixture between lah dee dah and blasé. If you don't like it for whatever reason, that's cool you will hate my work :) In 2016 I was a finalist in 'Poetry Rivals' with my poem 'Masterplan' and have been published many times by the British library. I love Plath, Lang Leav, Auden, Poe, Keats, Shelley, Orwell, Hughes,Seamus Heaney, John Clare, Oscar Wilde, Dylan Thomas, Roald Dahl, Christina Rossetti, Vladimir Nabokov, and True Crime is also a great love of mine. I love so many authors, far too numerous to mention. I usually get through at least three books a week if not more, I favour true books over novels. I started writing poems age six, and have written ever since. I write a poem most days. Despite studying English at Uni that was many years ago and the writing prompts are great here ! I am studying towards an M.A in Creative Writing and English Literature as well as prepping my book so I will not be posting as often here but I will be here most days!Meia. x

Meia (MESAYERS): Since I cannot seem to adapt my profile, and as I am mainly away from the site compiling my books, hence my 'break from the site, for anyone who takes an interest please note I am no longer interested in the works of Ted Hughes. In my humble opinion, he was a try-hard, flashy, style without substance poet in general. I have read his entire collection now and even had a reading with him as a young teen and found his attempts at modernity leave his work to be truly unsatisfying. To me, a last line or the last two lines should be the money shot- the one that takes ones breath away. I found some of his lines to be very good, but taken as a whole, they lacked what I need in a poet and my opinion of him is that he was a poor substitute for Larkin as Laureate and that is without taking his hideous arrogance into account. He wrote so much, yet so little sticks with me. His wife Sylvia excelled him and she did that while battling a mental illness and raising two children and meeting his ridiculous standards of what a wife should be. I see this reflected in his work, and it is just not for me, despite the ridiculous amount of work he produced. Sylvia Plath's 'Mirror' is a perfect example of the last two lines which take my breath away every time I read it. Seamus Heaney's 'Limbo' is another example of that, so delicate yet hard hitting and breath-taking!

Meia (MESAYERS): The world of publishing is in crisis. It's no coincidence that the worst published writer in the world today is also one of the world's most successful writers... Dan Brown. Now Dan Brown is not a good writer, The Da Vinci Code is not literature. Dan Brown writes sentences like "The famous man looked at the red cup." ...and it's only to be hoped that Dan Brown never gets a job where he's required to break bad news. "Doctor is he going to be alright?" "The seventy five year old man died a painful death on the large green table... it was sad".?

giraffmang: Aro laughed. "Ha ha ha," he giggled. - surely this one is worse [Twilight - Stephanie Meyer]

His voice is warm and husky like dark melted chocolate fudge caramel... or something. [50 Shades - E.L.James]

"We're not going to use magic," Ron EJACULATED loudly. [Harry Potter - JK Rowling]

"My bow is a rarity, crafted by my father along with a few other things I keep hidden in the woods." [Hunger Games - Suzann Collins]

"The sight of their arousal was arousing, though Daenerys Targaryen found it comical as well. [Song of fire & ice - George RR Martin]

Meia (MESAYERS): I am stupidly trying to complete two books pretty much simultaneously. 'Curiouser and Curiouser' is my story poems and 'Imperfectly Perfect' is my personal poems or poems written about other subjects than the weird...but as it's me who wrote them it is still pretty weird lol. I am planning on releasing the personal poems first as the story poems are very difficult to format and legal reasons due to pictures, but I will get there. I will announce when both are out but 'Perfectly imperfect' by Meia E.Sayers will be available for pre-order this month on Kindle and shortly after in print.Love Meia xxx
