INFORMATION
I was born in New York City and moved with my family to California when I was a teenager. I had four children and now have seven absolutely wonderful grandchildren who are the lights of my life (each one is my favorite).
I am a retired Legal Assistant, as of last year, leaving the Law Firm I had worked for over 25 years.
I have always loved to write. I was raised on poetry, my father read out loud to us all on Sunday evenings at the dinner table when we were finished eating. He read us the classics, but he wrote his own poems as well.
I have three novels in publication and I am completing the first draft of my fourth book.
I am thrilled to have found Fan Story and I've enjoyed the experience so far, feeling like I've found a very comfortable online community of like minded folks from around the globe.

A. Louise Robertson: During the seclusion of the pandemic isolation, I am especially grateful for FanStory. Not only do I have the opportunity to write (which I have more time for than ever before) - but because of the community here. There are so many creative people "tuning" in to each other and supporting each other in their writing endeavors. I am so glad I joined this group and I want to say thank you for all of the writing contests and challenges. I may not be able to go out of the house,
but I can go anywhere I want with my pen in my hand!

I would like to thank my fellow writers for the emotional support they gave me by honoring the story of my last few minutes with my son as he lay dying.

A. Louise Robertson: I have written poetry all my life and find that it helps me express my thoughts more clearly than in any other way. As a child I was fortunate to live in a household where poetry and books were appreciated. My father wrote very beautiful verse. One of the love poems he wrote for my mother was published in the Stars and Stripes during World War II. On Sunday evenings after dinner, he would read to the family from his favorite book of poems.
Now that I am a grandmother I enjoy writing more than ever. Although I have written and published novels, I find that going back to poetry really make me happy, to me it is the ultimate way to disclose what I feel. I am thankful for the opportunity to share my words here.
